A US soldier shot dead a 17-year-old Iraqi trooper after the pair had sex in a guard tower.
National Guardsman Federico Merida, 21, pleaded guilty to murder without premeditation and other charges at a court martial in Iraq.
Merida, who has a wife and son, was sentenced in September to 25 years in prison, but details have only now been revealed after the US army withheld information.
The guardsman and the Iraqi were on duty in May near Tikrit, northern Iraq.
Mexican-born Merida, who twice changed his story after at first saying the teen demanded money at gunpoint, shot him 11 times with his rifle.
At the court martial, he apologised to the victim’s family, saying: “I took someone they loved.”

Maybe the soldier was trying to domesticate the Boy so he could become his domestic partner in future. I mean if in Vietnam soldiers married vietnamese women and brought them to U.S; in this day and age why not a gay soldier bringing home his bride from Iraq.

nothing from the news story points to that. there are possibilities yes, since the only two persons that knows what happened is the accused soldier, and the dead iraqi. he could be lying to cover his ass, or he could be telling the truth. if an autopsy is done, i'm sure it can be determined if its rape or not.
