Sex with animals would be made legal under military law in a bill passed by the U.S. Senate.
The new legislation ends a long-standing prohibition on the practice and has triggered cries of perversion from conservative groups.
It was passed 93 votes to seven last week and is set to repeal Article 125 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
The committee said the changes in law were recommended by the Joint Services Committee on Military Justice and the secretary of defense.
Senate negotiators are working to reconcile their version of the bill with the version passed by the House of Representatives and produce final legislation that would set policy for the Pentagon.
Conservative groups angered by the end this year of the ban on gays serving openly in the military were outraged by the proposed repeal of the sodomy provision.
‘Now, in its rush to accommodate the left, Congress may have inadvertently opened the door to even more perversion,’ Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council said in a statement.
'As part of the defense authorization bill, liberals are pushing to make sodomy a legal activity under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
‘In its haste to make gay sex an official part of military life, the left could be unintentionally repealing the ban on bestiality too.’

This is a great bit of sensationalism and half baked truths. The section of the UCMJ that was removed had already been struck down by the US Supreme Court. There are several other sections that ban bestiality and other such acts.
That is what r human rights by western point of view and may be this time they have passed this legislation respecting human rights and animal rights this time.i m wondering if PETA doesn't like this law how wil they protest against this law.human rights and animal rights working hand in hand."This small step for human rights is giant step for perverts";)

I just hope, those "everything US does is right" type of people are not about to start a campaign to legalize it in Muslim countries!
If your nation adopts secularism as your system of laws i.e democracy or socialism, then this is exactly the kind of law that can be made legal even in the muslim countries don't be surprised.
