US says: FATA no longer under the sovereign control of the Pakistani state

Just a sligt clarification: Mohmands in Mohmand Agency are tribals, there are plenty of Mohmands in Pakhtunkhwa that are full citizens of Pakistan. In fact, the general trend has been movement into theurban/settled areas.

Alright let's let them go free, but why make distinction between FATA and the Pakhtuns of Pakhtunkhwa? Why not retreat to Sind and Punjab as the true Pakistan.

I am amazed that such flagrant and racist statements are allowed here. If I were say something similar about the other groups of Pakistan, it would be removed immediately.

You people like to complain that Pakistan is being lumped as a terrorist country when its not, yet have no problem attacking FATA. You're right though, they should be free..after all this talk of Islamic Pakistan, serving as cannon fodder is based on a farce.

Re: US says: FATA no longer under the sovereign control of the Pakistani state

^^

You love to play the victim Pak-One. Truth is that FATA causes endless problems for Pakistan, internally its the epicenter of Islamism, and externally its presence within Pak is the cause of a PR disaster.

If the Brits couldnt civilize you, no one can.*

  • Thats a joke, relax.

There is no victim card. When you target one ethnic group as " gun toting, drug dealers. smugglers" do you you expect me (or anyone else who is sane) to accept that?

It is not FATA but the incorrect policies of the state that have caused this mess. FATA had become a flashpoint for terror because of Pakistan's flawed Afghan policy which pushed the extremists into our terrirtory. Sure FATA has always been a conservative area, but to link it to the Global Jihad is laughable particularly when you have maliks of the agencies fighting the jihadis who trying to impose their own hegemony and control.

As for Brits being civilized, a night on Regent St changed that illusion :D

Re: US says: FATA no longer under the sovereign control of the Pakistani state

We can agree that govt policy needs a dramatic shift/make over. I volunteer my services. :D

Absolutely. People forget that Pakistan used Jihadis/Afghanistan to further its own policies whether it was to checkmate India in Afghanistan or the rebellion in Kashmir, the (under US pressure) Pakistan did a 360 and started opposing the same groups. Do you see the contradiction?

Volunteer your services for Regent Street :D

Shamraz Khan Saib, one problem with us Pakistanis is that we think we are truthful and the rest all are falsities. The ruling classes especially make other people scapegoats. I think it would be better for Pakistan if the rulers accept responsibility for the wrongs they commit. Lake of accountability has made a lot of problems in Pakistn.
