Shamraz Khan Saab, here is a link for you that may give you a fair idea of the genesis, growth, evolution, politics, and ethnography of terrorism/jehad. If one adds nuclear terrorism to this as well, a very gruesome picture emerges.
As for economics of terrorism, it is an open secret now that ISI’s/Establishments’s double deaking with Jehad/terrorism helped Pakistan amass over 10 billion dollars and temporarily enabled it to avoid bankruptcy alas at the cost of the innoncent people of FATA.

Frankly, Pakistanis should be obliged to people of FATA. These were after all FATA and NWFP that served as a frontline both during Cold War and “war on terrorism” and helped grab billions of dollars in military and economic aid.

I will make one corretion to the document though i.e. whereas Bakhth Zamin is a Pashtun (resident f Dir), Mulana Fazlur Rahman Khalil is a non-Pashtun and an inhibitant of a village near Rawalpindi.
