I'd like to ask a question, leaving out - for just a moment - the US and whether they go in there or not. Do you all think that the situation up north is out of control? Do you agree with those who are trying to control the North (ie., the taleban)? And do you agree with or want the type of lifestyle that they impose upon the people?
The Pak army has been in there, there has been much fighting and much loss of civilian life. Whether the army is doing their best or not, it seems that they are losing the battle. Perhaps they WANT to lose the battle. If they (and the people of Pak) do NOT want to lose the battle, whats wrong with having the US (or any other country) assist in this endeavor?
I don't know how well you know about the tribal areas of Pakistan but halaat in the agencies have never been picture perfect. It might seem from a western angle that we are losing the battle. We want to lose the battle?? That's quite a statement! I think Pakistanis are sick of the the USA assists already. We are perfectly capable to defend our motherland. The USA already has enough on it's plate on 2 separate fronts in which they are being embarrassed. The USA should concentrate on getting their colonial claws out of where they don't belong rather then send some more unmanned assits into our Country.
