Re: US Primary elections: Who are you routing for?
Apples and oranges. Hillary gets her money from Corporations. Bernie gets in from people.
I guess Corporations are people for some.

Re: US Primary elections: Who are you routing for?
Yup, find me people NOT belonging to corporation and can donate millions to a campaign in one go ![]()
Re: US Primary elections: Who are you routing for?
Wait what? You do know that the fact that he raised 5.9 million without the help of corporations and super PACs just confirms his popularity and how all
his supporters have come together to raise this much without reorting to shady Super PACs. The average donation amount in his campaign is $27.00. That being said I don’t think Bernie can be elected to the White House because he blatantly states he will be raising taxes. Never mind that the taxes raised will most likely be less than the savings from universal healthcare. Americans these days don’t like to use their brain and any mention of increased taxes makes them run the other way. The GOP establishment will eat him alive. Obama had the same views as Bernie but he was smart enough to not say too much in order to get elected. Bernie is too honest. He can never win the general election so I would rather take Hillary because we NEED a democratic president. My only concern is Scalia and Ginsburg vacating their seats in the next year or so and we need a sane replacement for both of them. The entire mess in this country is primarily because of these pathetic SCOTUS decisions that no one ever talks about.
Re: US Primary elections: Who are you routing for?
Donating MILLIONS to campaigning in ONE GO is what Hillary surrogates do. Sanders raised money from INDIVIDUAL contributors who donate 10, 20 50 dollars. Because he has a YUUUUUGE following due to his MESSAGE, he gets millions from hundreds and thousands of his supporters in one go.
A simple concept for ANYONE to undertsand.
Re: US Primary elections: Who are you routing for?
I won't route for yellow! :)
Re: US Primary elections: Who are you routing for?
You tell them, good chapter
Re: US Primary elections: Who are you routing for?
One thing I have quite recently learned is that resistance to change is a far more powerful and bigger force than desire for change. So every time you see a group asking for a change, always remember there is even a bigger group that doesn't want that change - no matter how 'positive' that change might be.
Bernie doesn't need to be an epitome prophetic perfection nor he needs to carry a magic stick, but the point is, he has some really good ideas that can stir some much needed debates, raise awareness and add some balance to the system. It is so important to have a choice of third ideology, third person, third party and just a general third option in dynamic democracies.
As with his donations - for someone that popular, it's seems like a completely reasonable amount. I have seen PTI collecting nearly 50k from a small-ish town in Britain, and here we are talking about a small group of supporters from a minority group from one particular area. In case of Bernie, you increase the population size and make it country wide - then 5 million in public donations looks like nothing.
Re: US Primary elections: Who are you routing for?
His average donation is I think 15 or 20 dollars per donation. Hilary is trying to match that low average by asking people to donate 1 dollar in order to lower the average. Cause her donations are top heavy.
Re: US Primary elections: Who are you routing for?
The more deep you dig into Bernie’s proposed plans or solutions, the more flaws you’ll see. No wonder he has less experts on his side and more students and women.
Re: US Primary elections: Who are you routing for?
Of course all is are not dotted and all TS not crossed. With not all details available folks can poke hopes in it. And that’s good. It will help him fine tune it.
As for experts, we all know whose interest those “experts” have had historically. Not the common man for sure
The comment re experts fits Hillary supporters to a T. Establishment view. N9 can do attitude
Re: US Primary elections: Who are you routing for?
No to democrats means more war in Pakistan! but democrats don't have a face! in any case, no to obama!
Re: US Primary elections: Who are you routing for?
I like Bernie due to his healthcare stance. Love the One payer system and also the tuition free college idea. Unfortunately, a lot of Americans do not like the idea of universal health care, so I don't think that is going to fly. Hilary is more realistic as to what the majority would be more perceptive too.

Why don't a lot of Americans like universal healthcare.
Rather than tuition free college Sanders shoukd propose to improve quality of inner city public schools, release low offense non violent prisoners and provide reparations to those persecuted unfairly by criminal justice
Tuition free will benefit middle class who is not jailed up. Those behind bars won't see benefit. Here I like Hillary's zero interest loan for colkege

I agree - let us not elect Obama.
Is that you, good chapter. Or is that the natkhat avatar

Re: US Primary elections: Who are you routing for?
Well you know wut Theorist, it sounded strange in the begining but now considering other responses it shouldnt be. Even in this thread we are seeing posts like if Hillary comes as primary they’ll vote for a GOP candidate. And that’ll be either Trump or Cruz. Whyyy in the world would you even think to go for any of these morons. And there’ll be another Karma again as mentioned by queer as these GOP monsters know nothing but talk about fear, death, war, extremism etc.
Re: US Primary elections: Who are you routing for?
i met someone from NC yesterday at the airport. does not have healthcare as cannot afford it. but thinks universal healthcare will make us bankrupt. believes obama is a gay man married to a transgendered man with an agenda for such things. person has a mexican wife, so wont vote trump.
o amreeka…

Because they think it will bring healthcare standards down. Once something becomes universal, it tends to become crappy. That's not me saying, that's what I hear from others and even our desi community.
Re: US Primary elections: Who are you routing for?
LOL!
One of Mr. Theorist’s customers said to him he would rather let his wife die of cancer than accept Obama care as his last option. That’s how much they hate him.
