Pakistan is too dependent on financial & military aid from USA.
If not now, they will release Davis, as soon as the fuss cools down.

Davis may also face espionage charge

“During the course of investigation, police retrieved photographs of some sensitive areas and defence installations from Davis’ camera,” a source told The Express Tribune requesting anonymity. “Photos of the strategic Balahisar Fort, the headquarters of the paramilitary Frontier Corps in Peshawar and of Pakistan Army’s bunkers on the Eastern border with India were found in the camera,” the source added. I am predicting that this guy is going to get killed inside prison. Some fake police muqabila, some preplanned prision riot, fake suicide, or something like that. That is the only solution for Pakistan Govt to get out of this crap

i think its just a drama. he is enjoying life as a VIP. its not far fetched that he may be living with Zardari. :D its just a farce. even if he goes to trial, he'll be declared innocent...or in the worst case scenario, if he is sentenced to death...he'll be let go after paying "Khoon bahaa". amreekan hai baba...baRe Thakur ka beTaa hai.majaal hai use koi chhoo bhii le...:D

Your usual blah blah blah that can apply to any country, replace Pak with India and you have an even worse and a bigger problem. ... Please tell us what US did not try to keep bad Pakis hands off big bad nukes. Go back in history and read a few chapters on the subject.... proof is in the pudding not in asumption or wet predictions.

We were discussing Pakistan completely stopping NATO transit, yes if the economy gets so bad. India and any other country for that matter will face a similar if not worse breakdown, however unfortunately, perhaps for you India's economy is "NOT" dependent on foreign aid, and India is capable of paying her own bills and is therefore not vulnerable to any external powers economic leverage.

dunysnews yesterday showed the photographs and video taken by Davis's camera. It showed different parts of the country including bunkers etc. it also has pictures of the two bikers who died and you can clearly see one of them holding a pistol. he also recorded a part of police interrogation.
two things are clear with it, he was actually a spy and second that he did shoot armed men.
he has a solid self-defense case. infact in the postmortem doctors found gun holsters on those bikers.
regarding being spy, he will be declared persona non Grata and let go while pak govt will pursue the case in America.

the scenario you mentioned are very much possible, and many people are expecting this, me too, but actually i think its better for USA rather than Pakistan, and if it does happen, it will be USA's own work, with or without consent of GoP

the chances of that happening are same as American commandos rescuing their guy.

if govt does extra judicial killing then nothing can be worse that that for pakistan at this stage.

if an ordinary person/ foreigner (considering he's not a diplomat) is caught and tried for espionage charges, he's not likely to get out because of Persona non grata (which this guy happen to have enjoyed earlier when he was posted in Peshawar) this time he's not on diplomatic visa/ duty, if everything goes by the law of the land, he's going to get screwed, that is, if our govt shows some courage

What else they teach you in Indian schools? India don't get any aid and don't have a huge charity sector with billions pouring in from the western world. LMAO.....Of course they also teach you that there is less poverty in India but I wounder why numbers lie, ah yes numbers from international credible institutions and the list is endless.
