Ma, frankly that rant is everything that is wrong with political Islam. Bin Laden wouldn't kill an innocent? A Muslim wouldn't kill an innocent. It's never our fault, we are just defending ourselves. It's always Israels fault, the USs fault, CNNs fault. He has swallowed the propaganda bait hook line and sinker. A single Quran is more important than lives? Sorry, I'll never agree with that, and I will reject any Muslim who believes that.
We are at war with that type of ignorant Jihadi thinking. The problem is there are thousands like him who get brainwashed with this crap and just want to kill. Blow up a Mosque, a market a train station, and as long as you have convinced yourself that God says it's OK, and Jihad is cool, then kill whomever you want. This endless stream of angry crap is gonna get a lot of people killed, and will stain Islam for centuries. If thats what you want, fine. The biggest fault with violent fundamentalist political Islam is that it is angry to the core, incapable of reason or compromise and is brutally intollerant.

OG, All that info proves that the muslim world was right in killing of six and the looting and rioting that occured. What you fail to understand is that books got wet, dirty and someone wrote on them. The reasons are not important. Islam has been hurt deeply by what happened to these books...now that we know the truth..I urge the muslim world to go out there and riot like you mean it. Surely six lives weren't enough...when it comes to the sanctity of a quran. More destruction of property and killing of people is required so that the honor of these books is redeemed.

Sorry I arrived late to the party.
For you reading challenged, it was the ** DETAINEES ** who ripped the pages out of the book, urinated on them and flushed them down the toilet. It was not the US soldiers. The five incidents attributed to US personnel are pretty tame and well discussed by OhioGuy.
Now, you non-believers who can't fathom the detainees defiling the Quran need to expand your thought processes. Imagine some poor Muslim thug finding himself living in a cage in Cuba and subjected to rock music for the last three years. Can't you imagine a single little thingy that might make the poor slob snap and question his faith? Can't you imagine him screaming at his God asking why he has been forsaken? Before his cage and rock music, the worst the fool ever thought his life would come to is an honored death as a martyr with virgins awaiting.
Peeing on the good book and flushing it down the toilet seems like a very understandable thing to do under those circumstances don't you think.

Not as stupid as those guys must feel who expected to get 52 virgins and found themselves locked in a steel cage for the last couple of years. Sort of like those poor dumb fools that Saddam gave a loaf of bread and sent off into the desert to fight the US invaders telling them that Allah will provide the rest. I’m only surprised that they stopped at #1 when defiling the good book.
