Dismembering fellow Muslim women and children in the marketplace with car bombs?? Sure. You can conceive of that. Murder a few Imams for sport??? Boys will be boys.
None of those things could POSSIBLY rise to the level of sacrilege and blasphemy that peeing on a Quran would.

Uh… yeah.
Every report and investigation has indicated that the detainees are the ones who peed on the Quran. The only incident attributable to a US soldier is a case where some guy relieved himself near an air vent and some of it sprayed in a cell on a Quran.
Asking for evidence is pretty rich coming from you. You have not one shred of evidence that a US soldier intentionally relieved himself on a Quran. It’s all made up in your own little mind. You ignore all evidence and conger up your own vision of what happened. And your vision is based upon one preconceived notion: i.e. a Muslim would not pee on a Quran. Now that’s pathetic.

Maybe you can explain how the US supposedly lied about the incidents. Looks to me like the US investigated and reported them. You only THINK the US has lied because you can’t conceive of a Muslim peeing on the Quran. It’s really not much of a step from burning and bombing mosques, assassinating Muslim clerics or murdering Muslim women and little children to peeing on the Quran.

No it lied about because it said nothing happened. Then it said maybe then it said yes it did happen but others did worse. That has been the official policy line which has changed. Why all the changes?

The US first denied the Newsweek report that US soldiers desecrated the Quran ** by flushing it down the toilet. ** So far, the only flushing discovered has been done by Muslim detainees. Following investigation, the US reported several incidents involving a Quran and US soldiers. None involved flushing.
So, there has been no change in the story. Simply more information has been given. Those who really do pursue careers in diplomacy understand the importance of carefully reviewing statements and understanding their meaning before spouting off.

Re-read the official US statement with regard to the Quran. Not the newsweek incident. But lets discuss that . They denied it took place. They never commented that detainees were responsible for it first off when the news broke. Now what 2 or 3 weeks laterthey say it did take place but the inmates did it. Kinda stupid isn't it? First no...then yes but they others did it.

^^ You're not that dense CM. Newsweek didn't publish an article saying Qurans were being flushed at Gitmo. They published a story that said US soldiers were flushing Qurans. The US denied the story. The US then undertook a review and investigation of matters that might be related to what some would consider desecration of the Quran. The US released its findings.
