They never tortured two innocent Afghani men and ended up killing them right? That was just some rumors.

we are wasting time because it took you 2 hours to understand one minor point. it was an inaccuracy in the article and your post that merely needed to be clarified. i think we need to take things slowly with you guys. we dont want to run before we can walk.

Killing in the name of Quran is important, but not in this thread i'm afraid.

Ok, this is a real important topic that deserves exclusive magazine, newspaper television, congressional, intertnational arabpanaramic scrutiny and condemnation culminating in riots and murders. In the meantime, listen out for that bus, it's coming fast and not slowing down.

Now lets see. Gulag. The Russians had Gulags. They worked to death nearly 20 million people in gulags.

Now Guantanamo, these prisoners are not worked to death, they apparently have ventilation, holy books, some have lawyers, and they have nice American interrogators tot talk to. Many have been released. So far we have executed none.

They have Medical care, regular visits from the Red Cross, and regular meals. Now I don’t know about you, but I dearly hope we are not sending these folks to summer camp. I really want every single Jihadi, or would-be Jihadi to realize that his worst nightmare is Guantanamo.

So far, with all this ruccus, I would say that Guantanamo is a rousing success. From the looks of the document released by the Pentagon, the guards log every single damn activity in the place. Everything. So if a prisoner is weaping, screaming, ranting ripping up holy books, the guards dutifully log it, and the interrogators can manipulate as best they can. Sounds like a very frustrating unhappy place. Fine. These people are not goat herders. I don’t want them out there playing golf and tennis every day. AND, I want to know everything we can about Al-Qaedda, who declared Holy war on us in 1997. They want war, give them the consequences of war.

As far as how the place is run? Do not go over the line. Get your toes right up to the line of propriety, but don’t go over. Bend every rule but don’t break them. People will use phrases like “Tantamount to Torture”, because you have gone right up to the line, but not over. Fine.

Yeah I have a comment: I am going to demarch it.

P.S I am glad that US came out with this report on a Saturday not yesterday. The destruction caused by muslims over this would have been horrific (more like barbaric), you know burning, looting, thuggery, killings etc.

They have lied through out this whole process. I bet they are lying about how harsh it is right now. It could have easily been much worse.

At least they owned up right.. how many modern countries does that.. !!! They could have easily dusted it under the carpet.. but they choose not to.. give them credit for that as a nation. The individuals who did it might be wrong but not the nation.:)

They tried to do that. Only after 2 leading Human Rights agencies brought it up did they hold an investigation.

So i guess its ok to violate the basic foundations on which the US is built upon if you own up to it in the end right? I guess that is how americans dealt with slavery so well.

Let’s see some quotes of AK Niazi and T Khan when they said that they were sorry for the slaughter of 3 Million Bengalis, or show me any statement by any Paksitani that says it (you not included – I only want to know what the senior level Pakistani leadership has said on the record). I don’t think you have a clue.

Now that the US military had confirmed the dececration of Quran, what would be their next step?

Are they going to let it go and apologize to the Muslims or are they going to hold a trial against those found guilty in the international court (I believe that's what it's called), as it should be dealt with as a serious offence?

Similarly, what kind of action was taken against those found guilty of mistreating and abusing the prisoners in Abu Gharib prison?

Explain to me how is desecration of the Quran is a crime? Where is it stated? Unfortunately, American military doesn’t follow Shariah system of justice.

If the offenders are disciplined, it will be following their own justice system rather than worrying about what others think. Your feelings were hurt, get over it.
