you are reading into it far too much and getting unnecessarily touchy.
it’s not the demand for an apology that’s amusing, it’s the irony in that sentence. i’m surprised i need to explain the punchline but the comedy lies in the 26/11 coincidence and the irony that goes with it.
it would be like reading a headline such as “Pakistan demands US apology for harboring Osama”…(if, for example, instead of raymond davis the guy’s name was coincidentally osama davis).
