Re: US considering apology over Salala attack
A pretty silly comparison of an intentional murder of 24 soldiers, and a natural calamity that noone could have predicted. Remember Katrina, and how ‘effective’ the worlds biggest and most powerful country was against that?
US is obviously the stronger force, and the only reason they are ‘negotiating’ with Pakistan on this issue is because they want to maintain a so called noble face in the international arena. However, the statement that US is ‘thinking’ about an apology clearly means that our government has asked for some political fodder for domestic consumption from the americans, and the mighty americans ‘will think about it’.
Chances are, the US will issue a veiled apology, and our government will portray itself as the democratic bunch of jackass heroes who extracted an apology from the US.
