He was not “alone in a crowded place”. He was being driven somewhere. Are you saying he should not even be allowed on the road? Undoubtedly he had a driver, and the other car from the consulate which rushed to help him was not far behind. The two on the motorcycle were armed, and did shoot bullets into the windshield. As for him being armed, if he had not been armed, he would not be alive to answer your question. The attackers were either going to rob the car or they were assassins/terrorists. Either way, Pakistan is better off without them.
And having been in the minority in many situations, believe me, when you are in the minority, you do not start trouble, you only react when it is forced upon you.
