Have to go to a 5 year old’s birthday on Saturday. Still haven’t bought a gift. Budget: $50-60.

Please suggest a gift the kid will enjoy. I’m so bad with boys :frowning:

cars 2 is coming soon but the toys are already here so buy a cars 2 toy or one thing that never fails is a monster truck .......lego is nice too but for if u want a really cool gift then buy cars toy ......toys r us has a really nice setion of toys for boys .....oh n if he doesnt have a scooty then buy one but that will not be in ur budget

He has a scooter already. Let's see what new toys are out there. Legos...hmmm, I wonder if they have something like Build a Dinosaur because he's really into that stuff.

they have these kid computers at Toys r us for about that price--with all sorts of learning games

my parents recently bought those...mechano/kinex build your own transformer things for a 7 year old and he LOVED it

Pay him that much cash and he will be your best friend forever. Trust me . I have stopped giving gifts. Everybody seems to have everything now a days. :bummer:
I get new one dollar bills , make a bundle and my greeting card says , do not spend it all at one time.
They love it and have a good laugh , chuckle or a smile when they open that cash filled envelope. Since they cannot count it in front of you , they assume it is lot of money. :smiley:

give him a toysrus giftcard and pictures of a few things he can buy with that giftcard as suggestions.

I did that for his 4th. :( Not the pictures though. His mommy spent so much time buying the lovliest stuff for my daughter's birthday last month. I want to take some time for him as well. But again, since I'm not really good at figuring out boy gifts maybe the gift card will have to do.
