Open a new thread in Audio and below the reply box, you will see the following upload option.

Click on the **Browse **button. [1]
Select the song from the desired location.
After selecting the song, click on Upload mp3 button. [2]
It will take anywhere from 30 seconds to 3 minutes, depending on your net connection speed. You will not see any progress bars or whatever they are called for the progress. You just have to be patient and wait for the results. Once the song is uploaded, you will see the code below the buttons, as shown below in the picture.

Insert the mp3 code and you are good to go. You can thank me here or via PM.
Things to remember:
The file has to be in .mp3 format. If it is in any other format, you would have to convert it to mp3.
It must be smaller than 5 MB in size.
Try not to have too many spaces in the file name. i.e. name it abc instead of a b c.
If you are trying to record your sureeli awaaz, you’ll just have to record it using the program in the computer, convert it to mp3 using a software, and then upload it following the steps described above.
The songs posted before today will be truncated, as they were uploaded already truncated. But from now, you should be able to upload and listen to full songs.

Shikra - consider me technologically challenged, but how do you embed mp3 files in your journal? I'm not even sure I'm in the right spot asking this question. Sorry about interupting this thread with this question.
You upload the file here using either "Add reply" or "New Thread" button. Once you've successfully uploaded the file, copy the code and instead of pasting it in any thread here, paste it in your journal. If you still are unable to get the results, PM me and we'll go from there.
some one please tell me how the heck i listen to songs??? All i see is the songs getting downloaded but it never plays anything even when i click on play
As far as I know, you can't. You can only listen to them as GS is not a website that provides songs because there are copyright issues. You can download them using kazaa or imesh etc. OR you can contact the poster and maybe he/she will e-mail it to you or upload it on webservers.
