Security forces have arrested 14 suspected al Qaeda-linked militants, including Uzbeks and Tajiks, trying to sneak into southwestern Baluchistan province from the South Waziristan tribal region, intelligence officials said.

My guess is that they are Tajiks from Tajikistan proper, not from neighboring Afghanistan.

As for the Chechens, well the reason I remained skeptical is due to the lack of findings of Chechen involvement with the Taliban. To this day, not a single Chechen is in Guantanamo Bay.
