1- 5 idiots was not literal… Point was that regardless of their internal selection process if the people they will pick are idiots then it’s best to stay away from them.

2- JI leadership stuck around for years not being able to account for assets and sources. So I don’t think accountability is that great. Same for their pals JUI.

3- most importantly though, their democratic process to elect leaders does not really make up for their other kartoot.

I agree…and the same applies to national politics as well, where well known corrupt people are put into positions of power, who resist accountability and hence, make the whole democratic exercise meaningless…which is perhaps why Pakistanis tend to celebrate when army takes over.
