The question was specifically about Biryani. Almost all versions of biryani (except those from North) are spicy. I would prefer pulau over biryani if given a choice. Some describe Pulau as music and Biryani as noise or Pulau is Da Vinci and Biryani is Picasso.
I have had Pullow in rural areas around Hyderabad and yes, it is yummy.
People adapt foods to local tastes and Karachi is a melting pot of all kinds of food from all over the subcontinent. So, yes, biryani sold as ‘Sindhi Biryani’ is my favorite. People living there adapt those dishes to their local tastes. Do you think Chinese food sold in Pakistani restaurants is really what Chinese people would consider Chinese Food? ![]()
