I stand corrected. My favorite biryani is 'adulterated version of Sindhi Pullaw'. It still tastes as great.
Its just a name. Doesn't really matter if it is not a traditional Sindhi dish.
I thought you were staunch opponent of corruption and adulteration. I guess not. By the way try traditional Sindhi Pullaw, you will forget all kinds of Biryanis including adulterated one you like the most, which are hard to digest and keep burning your heart and burping the smell of them for at least 48 hours. Who knows you might go to a doctor for a by pass surgery:)
^so what is student biryani? I mean Sindhi or what?
There was no traditional dish Biryani in Sindh. Student Biryani is traditional Biryani sold in Karachi markets. Some one told me that few such discounted outlets were shutdown for using donkeys' meat in them.:)

The question was specifically about Biryani. Almost all versions of biryani (except those from North) are spicy. I would prefer pulau over biryani if given a choice. Some describe Pulau as music and Biryani as noise or Pulau is Da Vinci and Biryani is Picasso.
I have had Pullow in rural areas around Hyderabad and yes, it is yummy.
People adapt foods to local tastes and Karachi is a melting pot of all kinds of food from all over the subcontinent. So, yes, biryani sold as 'Sindhi Biryani' is my favorite. People living there adapt those dishes to their local tastes. Do you think Chinese food sold in Pakistani restaurants is really what Chinese people would consider Chinese Food? ;)

Student Biryani has almost become a brand name...very popular here in Dubai also. I hope they maintain their taste and standards.
...I doubt a lot of people would have voted for PPP in last elections if they knew the government would be run by Zardari and Rehman Malik, Parliament would be rubber stamp and the party would ally with PML(Q) and MQM.
Since people have seen it now, do you think the factors you have listed, would weigh on voting patterns, especially in PPP's strongholds?
Don't really remember why I chose this handle for gupshup but it in some OLDer PTV daramas sometimes a character would be affectionately called "kakaballi" by others.
**13: Your take on judicial activism?
**It is healthy for our society but it should be bottom up, rather than top down as it is in Pakistan. Lower courts should actively engage citizens in curbing crime in the country. Unfortunately, lower courts are themselves as corrupt as our society at large.
**14: Do you think Army is still active in politics as we speak?
**Of course and it has had negative consequences for the country.
**15: How should Pakistan act on American demands on Haqqani Network and military operations in North Waziristan?
**Ask them for evidence and intelligence and tell them Pakistani forces would act AFTER approval from Defense Committee of the parliament.

Nice answer on this on. It is true that the approach should be bottom up.
If we ask Americans for proof against an outfit present in Pakistan itself then we show the incompetence of our agencies. Pakistan should have proofs itself what Haqqanis are doing. And for that matter what other extremists like Taliban or SSP or LJ or JuD are doing.
Besides, do we honestly think that Haqqanis are in Pakistan playing cricket only? They are obviously planning and executing attacks in Afghanistan. And it is mistake to ignore them just because they are currently not targeting Pakistan itself. Just like what happened with Taliban, Haqqanis will also come back and haunt Pakistan later, if they are not nipped right now.

Proof = proof of intelligence regarding militants they are going to strike.
Lets meet here:
Drones have been very helpful in eliminating worst of Pakistan's enemies. If they are also resulting in deaths of civilians then the solution is to work with the US and improve intelligence.
Perhaps I faced you somewhere else too .
Am I right ?
Somewhere else on the interwebs or real life? I know you are 'Anwer Kamal' at another place because you copy paste same stuff there too but I don't post there. Other than that, no ideas. Any hints? :D
