Play pens are like jails. I prefer cribs and all babies should get one. Get ready to sell off or donate after a year though. Of course if you have a magical child and you are a magical parent, the crib converting intro a toddler bed may work for ya .

Is that cuz they refuse to sleep in their cribs once they are aware of the separation? That’s what happened with us. So we gave in, converted to a toddler bed, and stuck the toddler bed up against our bed. Not the best solution, but better than her sleeping between us.
