There are 2 schools from Turkey in the top 300… Not susrprising. Turks have been leading the pack among Muslim countries for quite a while.
Still, that’s why Muslims have fallen behind. They dont value education. That might be changing, but only in certain pockets.
I mean, there are only two Muslim Noble Laureates in Science. One is Dr Zuwail of Egypt, and the other is the late Dr Abdus Salam of Pakistan. Oh wait, scratch that, only one Noble Laureate, since the later is not counted as a Muslim.

I am pretty sure NUST guys would be writing feverish letters to the times telling them grand tales about NUST and that it should be included in the top 200 :)

Well NUST is not in this list as this list is really the cream of the world, but NUST is really a very good institution of Pakistan and we should be proud of that (I have spent some time there and I know the standard of the university). LUMS, NUST, GIK, Fast are not in this list. The Engineers and Doctors Pakistani universities produce are second to none in the world.

Agreed my many friends study in NUSt and its one of the best in Pakistan

Those would not be in top 100 in Asia

^ NUST and GIK used to be within the top 50's in Asia, about 8-10 years from now...have you got any link to the latest rankings?

NCA was said to be the best art institue in asia too. We have had so many world known artists from there :k:. Same goes for other unis i mentioned, we have people from there doing great all over the world.
