sounds bit fishy to me as well… u just dont marry off your daughter if the family seems wealthy or so. … in pakistan they definitely do some basic investigations about the guy’s family and business and stuff… and defence is definitely not the area where neighbors doesnt know about their neighbors and so… anyways…

Now, the girl’s family is saying that they can never accept a ‘beggar’ as a family member and citing all this Islamic stuff how begging is haraam in islam, etc etc. They feel that it is a major beizzati for them.. etc etc. Moreover, they feel like they have been deceived.. which I do not agree with because I think they married the girl off purely based on what they saw.. big house, expensive cars, ‘business’ talks, and all that.. if they had bothered investigating even a bit about the guy’s family, they would have found out the truth.

whattttt? its true, they TECHNICALLY did not lie. hey it could’ve been worse, they could’ve actually been VERY poor, and were only squatting in that house and she wudn’t be living in defense period! lol

well dats sad.but im nt feeling sorry for da girls family...dey shuld hve dne research rather dan running after merc bmw and lush houses in defence....dumb dumb ..things happen ...if u try to frgt who ur ..but also at da same time..shame for da guys family who tried to hide deir identity

One of my relatives got married to a girl in Pakistan. They had met the girl a couple of months before and they got to know her family and everything. The wedding took place about 2 months after and it was a lavish wedding. A month after the wedding my relative found out that her family actually had no business and they weren't very wealthy at all. I guess they lied just to get married to the family who is very wealthy. They divorced a month after they got married, but that was because of something else..I think.

I mean it must have been a huge shock for the girl to have to find this out , but at the same time, no matter how much money a family has whenever undergoing a rishta process u find out abt the family, tht was real stupid of the girls family to ge her married without finding out abt the family a bit more!!

Oh wow, that’s horrible. I know someonewhose a surgeon in Scotland goodlooking, wealthy, from a very high class family, and he got a rishta from a girl who claimed to be doing her phd in philosophy or something in the U.S. Everything was all great and la de da, and the guy and his mother were all for this rishta anyway cuz the girl looked like a model, but they were in for a shock after they got married! They had never met or really spoken on the phone much before marriage upon the brides motehr saying she wasnt comfortable with all that with just a mangni, so he didnt see it coming. When they got married, he found out she had some sort of psychiatric problems multiple personality disorder I think it was.. and she was taking meds to calm down and stuff… and every now and then she used to throw tantrums.. one time with his whole family there for a dawat, where she literally fell down on the floor rolling and crying and screaming for “ammi”. Oh and that she onyl graduated high school. And that she didnt believe in doing it cuz it was “yucky, only for bad people”. And she even used to beat him during arguments. Psycho chick. :no:
