My mum and dads rishta story is quite sad.
My dad was in the UK and was engaged to a girl is pakistan. The wedding date was set, the invitations were sent, all preparations etc were done and people from all over pakistan had arrived to stay at my dad’s parents house ready for the wedding day.
My mum lived on the same street and had been asked by my dad’s mum to come over and help put the gota/sequins on the wedding lengha for this girl my dad was supposed to be marrying.
The day before the wedding my dad’s mum fell out with girls family over jaheez and the girls family broke off the wedding. So in deperation my dad’s mum came running to my mum’s house and asked for my mum’s rishta and they said yes and my mum got married the next day to my dad…and wore that very lengha she had helped to make. A few months later she came to the UK and they have now been married 30 years.
Its not sad. Your mum and dad were supposed to get married to each other and when Allah Swt wants something to happen, it happens because it is better for everyone. Yes, things can seem to be sad for sometime, but I am sure that girl also had got some good guy as her husband.
