What happened to muslims in Gujarat was indeed shameful. My heart goes out to them and their families. Narendra Modi should have been prosecuted.

As for the Sikhs, one of my colleague’s father (a Sikh) was killed during the bloodbath against the Sikh community.

Yes, these events should be acknowledged.

I honestly believe India is moving forward under Manmohan Singh, and trying to do the right thing for all of its citizens.

Once India prosecutes those guilty of murder, and acknowledges the rights of not only Indians but also Kashmiris, the we can consider India a nation we can befriend.

We Pakistanis may not be prefect, but as India stands today, we would gain nothing through our association.

Indians rightfully honor the principles that Mahatma Gandhi set for the new nation. But until Indians begin emulating those principles in spirit, what could we Pakistanis possibly expect to learn from you?
