thanq! Since posting this I have asked twice for anybody who objects to re-unification to counter these advantages of unification with what downside if any they see. NOT ONE has come out - all objections cite only past problems! I wish they would see all those problems actually get solved by unification! welll, what more can I say!

undivided India is not possible since it has already been divided. If you’re talking about re-unification, it is a good idea because we can together become a very strong world power. For India, this will release a lot of resources now being spent on guarding the border, defending Kashmir etc. For Bangladesh, this will bring them out of a flood-prone 4th world situation into a more successful country. For Pakistan, same as India, they can release all the resources now spent on defense as well. Afghanistan will regain her glory as well as part of Greater india and can successfully resist Arabic extremism (for example OBL)
More importantly:
- Western countries will no longer be able to divide and rule the sub-continent for any reason
- Minorities will be strengthened thus making democracy stronger
- Terrorism will have no hope of sanctuary - even if the Arabs want to house them here anymore
Even on simple matters such as textile export, cricket, hockey etc we can field a world #1 posture. Just imagine Tendular, Sehwag, Inzimam & Akhtar in one team! Can the Aussie loudmouths stand a chance?
It is a win win win win proposition. It is very difficult to achieve given the current state of affairs but we can always hope and pray!
