See with things like that, it’s hard to give the benefit of the doubt that the person is just that obtuse about tact…one’s more inclined to believe that it was on purpose. My coworker’s MIL made a speech during (either the wedding or the wedding rehearsal, can’t remember) about how her son’s acne has cleared up since he started sleeping with her DIL-to-be. LOL…seriously how can somebody be THAT clueless.

so Nomi, basically it really depends on your gf/wife/fiancee's personality and don't be so clueless about obvious signs from her that would tell you whether lingerie is something she would like as a gift since all women are different

No, only a gori mother is capable of that. A desi MIL would try to keep them apart from having sex.....except when the need for grandchildren arises. :p

i mean if she’s more conservative then most likely she might not appreciate such a gift but then again she might depending on her personality which only you would know

most desis don’t do any of that before marriage so im guessing the right name would be ‘wife’ for her when you decide to give such a gift. stick to some of those other sentimental gifts til then

my MIL did it purposely…she is very m*aadran *desi.. lol…
…good thing I opened my gift right away (at my inlaws)…imagine if i would have done it (sharmaatay howay ..itthlaatay howay) right infront of my Parents and my siblings…
