WOW!!! I’m just speechless…I was once “just casually” requested of this. I was really offended first but was told that it was said in good humor and that’s how I took it as - just a playful, casual, rather flirtatious behavior. Never knew it actually happens in our culture. And I’m not even a hijabi or come from a very orthodox and conservative background.

He is my fiance and we are on very non-formal terms. We are best friends before anything else. And also, I guess we’re kinda besharam. Normally, this would offend any girl, I assume. It’s also very gross if you think about a random guy having your undies (to some it may be gross regardless) BUT like I said, we’re best friends, engaged and about to be married and knowing how he is (the most amazing, trustworthy, decent, dedicated person I’ve ever known. Also, we both had never dated anyone or had any previous relationships, and something about that makes our relationship very exclusive and fun. We both dont have any prior history or expectations and obviously because we were our firsts, the bar has been set very high ) so hence, giving him a pair was not an issue.

I can understand why this way weird some folks out, but keeping our dynamic and relationship in mind and seeing how crazy we are about one another, it seems kinda random and trivial.

I think it really depends who gives it to you or who asks for it. if my fiance asked, i’d probably give it. if some homeless guy asked for it i’d push him in front of a bus

This! It’s about who asks for it. I would never give it if my fiance and I were in our early dating phase or I didn’t trust him or felt like he was going to “judge” me or use it against me in the future. It all depends on the gut feeling you get from the guy and how he is.

And @wishkamar, no hard feelings. I know you were just curious.
