I am sure you would have stated that in the previous two world cups as well and than would have beaten a hasty retreat after they won the cup.

I assure you that I wouldn’t have said the same thing simply because those two winning sides had far more talented and flair players and stood far better chance of winning than the current jokers.
You can search for my posts if I had said anything like that. In fact I had praised the bowlers Jamshed Ahmed, Anwar Ali & Akhtar Ayub (whom are no where to be seen now). It was because of their efforts in the final that they managed to strangle the Indians and didn't give up easily and ended winning the cup.
Even after they had won the World cup I didn’t go any where and have been here all the time.
This is something the current juveniles couldn't do and kept the tradion alive.

No one expects any team to win everytime.
The great teams in World sports i.e. Brazil at soccer and Australia at cricket etc don't win every time.
However, you need to show bit of character, spirit & fight rather than just give it up like the future starts of Pakistan cricket did.

Did they reach the final?
It certainly didn't seem as if they were playing their hearts out in the semi final and had they done so may have reahced the final.

I like Bedi.....says it like it is....and he is probably right :
