**The UN secretary general has clashed with the Pakistani ambassador to the UN over President Pervez Musharraf’s imposition of emergency rule. **
Ambassador Munir Akram complained that Ban Ki-moon was meddling in Pakistan’s affairs by saying the country should return to democratic rule.
Comment: LOL @ Munir Akram, trying bully Ban ki Moon on a harmless lipservice, while americans have been saying the same thing but he will wet his pants b4 talking to them.
Re: UN Chief and Pak Envoy Clash
haaan baat toh patay ki hai waisay.
Re: UN Chief and Pak Envoy Clash
I hope Munir Akram odes not get too angry and beat his girlfriend again.
Re: UN Chief and Pak Envoy Clash
you are on a roll today :) what did u have with your chai.
Re: UN Chief and Pak Envoy Clash
I think Ben moon has a point. Emergency in a country is like taking a patient in an intensive care unit.
Just like you should "fix-up" the patient, the country should be cleared of rogue judges and jihadis then quickly return to normalcy.
Re: UN Chief and Pak Envoy Clash

Re: UN Chief and Pak Envoy Clash
so bbc says
"Ms Bhutto, who has been negotiating a power-sharing deal with the president, said on Tuesday that she had no plans to meet Gen Musharraf. "
and the news says
http://www.nation.com.pk/daily/nov-2007/7/index4.php
PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto along with her close aides held a detailed meeting with top presidential aides; Chief of Staff, Lt Gen (Retd) Hamid Javid, National Security Council Secretary Tariq Aziz and DG ISI here in Islamabad
…
well she did not meet him but met with his crew..
Re: UN Chief and Pak Envoy Clash
well she did not meet him but met with his crew..
Or it could be that he did not wanted to meet her & instead sent his crew. In any case, she has no credibility. She wants to be new Fazlu and play both sides at the same time, but I doubt if has the skills of good Mulavana.
Re: UN Chief and Pak Envoy Clash
She may not have the skills of Moulana but she does have the confidence of west and this matters a lot. The more heat Musharraf faces, the more inclined he will be to involve BB in power. Musharraf now needs BB more han ever.
