lol, thanks dooree.
uff...i am freakin in love with this drama. usually i don't like watching the same episode twice. even dolly ki aye gi barat, since i have already seen in online when it was on in pakistan, i don't find my self interested in watching it again when it's on tv in usa. but this drama, i have seen it every time anyone of my family member puts on the recording from dvr, and i enjoy it just as much as i did when i saw it the first time.
dialogues are just amazing, somehow characters manages to say the perfect thing with perfect intensity.
sometimes when i watch dramas i cringe at characters when they don't say the right thing at the right moment, they just cry or stay quite, this drama is not like that. it's just perfect. i love it soooooooooooooooooooo much.
and that kid, farhaan, in the first episode i didn't like him much, but i really think he is doing a great great job now.
and thank god there is no excessive roona dhoona, there is a lot of anger, but i have when a character just simply cry through the drama, normal people doesn't do that, even when they are in a sad situation they don't cry 24/7 and thank god savera nadeem's character is sane enough.
Re: Umera Ahmed's "Qaid e Tanhai"
I Loooove this drama, this new girl, the daughter, is doing great job, and so is every1 else. nd i just cant stop listening to the title song!
Re: Umera Ahmed's "Qaid e Tanhai"
well i noticed a huge mistake in dialogue delivery when noor says to her mother that "may aap ki tara saza ki galati nahi katna chahti" but u can expect this from babar i guess :)
Re: Umera Ahmed's "Qaid e Tanhai"
While I am enjoying this drama, I feel there are too many similarities between this and MZZB. Some similarities:
I am sure Qaid e tanhai's story is deep and like all of Umera's work is regarding common unjust practices in our society, but they need to cut down on the melodrama. some of sawera's scene's are bordering comedy. She's over doing the blank stares and the expressionless and also the crazy dialogues. like when she tells her daughter that "mein khush hoon" while tilting her head and giving her the crazy eyes.
Re: Umera Ahmed's "Qaid e Tanhai"
can anyone tell me the real name of Sarah in MZZB?

Another similarity both dramas opened with death. in both Faisal married a modern girl living abroad that he later resented. and again savera suffers from character blames like samia. but where imran n sara bored in MZZB, farhan n noor r a gr8 combo.
Re: Umera Ahmed's "Qaid e Tanhai"
^ EXACTLY!!! Waisay we should maintain a list:D

I believe you are referring to Sarwat Gilani's character?
Re: Umera Ahmed's "Qaid e Tanhai"
i dunno, this isn't something im particularly enjoyyyyying, except neelam munir's character and dialogues. MZZB reallybrought out our social and cultural issues and just harshly stated them, nosugar coating, no unnecessary indian soap crap. This is more...on the dramatic side : S
blah. im only gonna finish it cuz i started.
but it might get better, I want to see how they handle Sawera nadeem's infidelity i suppose? Would they justify it to untaint the character or say it like it is and take a bolder route.

Completely agree with you. I think Savera is a great actress but unfortunately BJ hasn't dug deep enough to make her realize her full potential.
And I can't stand these doormat type wives...irks me to no end!!
But I am really enjoying Noor's character and dialogue in this one. I think the flashbacks start next week which means I'll hit the FFWD button on the next 6+ episodes :D
Re: Umera Ahmed's "Qaid e Tanhai"
^yea Savera's character is nothing compared to Samia's! and im sorry comparisons are inevitable if you're gonna create something so much similar and almost fail at it!
Re: Umera Ahmed's "Qaid e Tanhai"
I think the way they are portraying Savera's character there is a twist in story.May be Sawera is responsible for something wrong thats why she is paying for it.However in MZZB Saima was firm and she didn't accept her fault.Lets see, but I think this time Sawera did something wrong.
Re: Umera Ahmed's "Qaid e Tanhai"
i love title song...suits on my avatar

I am almost thinking she did not do anything wrong but whatever she did is perceived wrong by our society. Let's see - just a guess.
Re: Umera Ahmed’s “Qaid e Tanhai”

or maybe it was portrayed bad by the inlaws, and no body listened to her:hmmm:

Re: Umera Ahmed’s “Qaid e Tanhai”
yeah that’s what I am thinking Sheen looking at how the story is somewhat similar to MZZB and how the MIL is behaving.
Re: Umera Ahmed’s “Qaid e Tanhai”
I think the new character that was introduced in this episode (faisal qureshi’s friend) has a lot to do with the “mistake” she made 14 years ago…

Re: Umera Ahmed's "Qaid e Tanhai"
i just wish Aisha was portrayed stronger!!! esp when it came to matters of her daughter...i don't like that bit...but lets see if there is a reason behind it. I wish she stood up for her daughter and showed the audience how a woman should be in our culture....
