oh gosh I saw it on vidpk DB and I was so embarrassed!!! Being a woman, when another woman acts so STUPID it really puts a dent in what people think about women in general. I don't think Nadia will ever realize how badly she comes across on tv making such "blonde" comments. It again showed how she does no research on any of her guests or topics and just enjoys her happy to you segment, her gossipy chats, and making fun of her phone callers.
I loved how Samia was just so straight forward when she said I am a farmer, I have no idea what you guys are talking about, and I don't even own a tv or wtach it that much - Nadia was so surprised since she comes from the stardust magazine reading world.
I agree! I love her already. she seems to be a very sensible woman. No makeup, all natural yet very pretty m'A . and im sure her acting will be great!
you are right, but we have realize that the director is one of the most commercial director these days, and umera ahmed's novel are anything BUT commercial stuff so the combination doesn't work too well.
i always feel very annoyed when they make tv dramas out of any of my fav. novel. they just can't do justice to them.
you are right. I am not a fan of Baber Javed. I wish Robina Ashraf would have kept the script and directed it herself. She had done a fab job with Vanee.
And I hate to hear that it will be a 20+ episode serial disgruntled wala icon
I am now starting to think that we have lost Umera Ahmed to TV and particularly Hum TV. She hasn't written any new novels since Peer-e-Kaamil and that was 5 years ago I believe... She needs to get back to her "roots" before she becomes another Seema Ghazal types. God forbid!
uff and imran abbas either.
in the novel hayder was a quite guy, but in the drama he just couldn’t stop talkign.
stupid
mano salwa was good but i hated the fact that they started the drama even before the novel ended so it was messed up.
and you are right.
it’s sad that you compared her to seema ghazal but you are right, that’s how it seems like.
i like umera ahmed soooooooooo much i can’t even tell u how jealous i felt when humayoun saeed and adnan siddquie said that they talked to umera, or she said something to them, i envy them that they can meet her and talk to her but not her fans.
i sound like a 16 year old who wants to meet her fav. rockstar but what ever.
i hate when they ruin umera ahmed’s novel.
I was actually surprised that the 2nd episode was quite decent.
Yes they have taken some liberties like fleshing out Haider's character a bit more because his role was very minimal in the novel. I am just glad they haven't taken drastic liberties. That's one reason I did not like Maan-o-salwa at all and couldn't even watch it. They had completely ruined the novel by taking the religious angle out of it.
I think this novel is a little closer to Umera's heart so it might turn out to be OK.
But I do agree with you Yanzala that she needs to reach out to her fans/viewers a little more. Plus she needs to get back to writing.
umera k novels ka apna aik standard hay..these directors just take the central idea n ruin the whole story...umera should not compromise yar!!!! thori addition theek hay but this is too much....
it seems like she's selling her novels.....which is sumthing very disgusting...i like her nvls veryyyyyyy much but now these ruined forms of her nvls looks like very odd.
well compared to other Umera Ahmed novels this is not so bad (that Babar has directed).
We can all wish a Sakeena Samo or a Mehreen Jabbar could have directed this but that won't be happening any time soon. I think Umera and Barber are going to be teamed up for a long time and keep on churning out these fairly standard to sub-standard quality plays.
But I have a feeling that just like Faiza and Fahad raised Laahasil to a pretty decent level (Angeline tried her best to ruin it) that Samia and Faisal will do a commendable job here.
