there was another one back in 2005 i think, "Wajood-e-laraib"..i think itz the besttttttttttttttt drama i ever saw..

then comes 'Daam' !

before it was doraha than malaal and now its daam :D .. so basically everything made by MJ+Umera combo is mega!
Wujood-e-laraib is also a favourite :)

Story-wise almost all dramas written by Umera Ahmad are good to watch

but overall as a project Daam is my current favorite

Man-o-salwa was a quite an interesting novel when I read it, but Resham as the lead role ruined the drama

'wajood e laraib' and 'doraha' are my all time favourites, never get tired of watching them over and over again.

i like both malal n Daam...but malal has stupid cast(imran abbas,sarwat gillani,faisal) so my vote is for Daam....

I have only watched doraha, lahasil and wajood-e-laraib and loved all of them

The worst one was Amarbail mainly bcoz of its cast

Doraha is my fav. My sister gave it to me when i was leaving pakistan after after my visit. The first time I saw it, I was so pleasantly surprised coz I hadn't seen a pakistani drama in over a decade and was expecting a shallow melodramatic snooze feast. I couldn't stop watching it and ended up pulling an all nighter :). and i watched it AGAIN a few days later with a friend. The relationship between humayun saeed and Soniya Rehman was so beautiful. The scene in which he divorces her was one of the most moving scenes on TV...

Speaking of Umera, i read on a thread started by her on Daam's Fb page that she is writing the Daam novel which will be out next year... I am excited even though embarrassingly enough I've only read one Urdu book - Aangan by Khadija Mastoor
