No I called Umar Sayeed in January and they said the starting price was 3 lakhs. The brides Ive seen in Umar Sayeed have just been ok, nothing spectacular...and I would want spectacular if I was paying 3 lakhs.

I like his formals more than the bridals, but I heard that these start at Rs 75,000. Is this true?Rs 50,000 for kurtis is beyond crazy.

Im sorry i know this will bother alot of people, but who the hell in their right mind would pay $12,000 for a freakin dress? and yes iv'e read the zillions of arguments about being a bride/mymoney ill do what i want, yes i get the being a bride, once in a lifetime thing..but there's a limit....$12K is just insane.

I agree..i like his formals better than his bridals....they are not impressive...and nothing too outstanding....bunto,Karma,nilofer,nomi..saadia mirza..sana safinaz.....all are awesome....when it comes to bridals..

With these designers though one isnt just paying for the price tag, you are paying for the whole service are you not? The experience, the relationship with the designer.

I think most asian outfits are pathetically expensive these days, and I dont think these so called designers have realised that in order for people to actually want to buy their stuff they have to be nice to them too. These designers are not huge household names yet so they should show the arrogance that they do.

Whenever I go into Chanel or Jimmy Choo in Bond Street, they are always always SO nice, even if I dont end up buying anything everytime I do, they show GREAT customer services skills and I think some Pakistani/Indian designers lack that a lot.

In fact, allow designers some of the sales assistants in Green Street are so rude! Acting as if they dont need you to buy their stuff.
