Hi everyone, this is my first post. I was in the exact same position as u, its so hard to find anything good in the UK. But I would highly recommend burooj, thats were Im getting my clothes from. Im so happy with the designs, price and service. I dont think theres many places like it :k:
I agree with you all... Burooj has been a saving grace for me-there is simply nothing else out there for Pakistani style wanting brides... Fingers crossed my lengha turns out okay as it's individually designed too
Im definately ordering a peach maxi dress for my walima, its stunning. I may order my baraat day clothes from them too but I havent fully decided about that as I want to customise my design quite a bit and Im not sure if they can do it. Ive got an appointment 2mrw so we’l c how it goes. Heres a picture of the one Im thinking about for the baraat but Im going to make some changes to it.
I live in bham and agree that uk is stuck in 2009! It caters more for Indian punjabi taste. I am getting married in June this year and have the same dilemma. This is my second marriage so lucky for me I have experience to learn from lol. For my first wedding I searched shops in London, Manchester, bham, Leicester, Bradford ( the usual suspects) but found NOTHING!!! So decided to go to Pakistan and get a replica made from Fashion ka ghar, islamabad/pindi sides. He quoted me 2 lakh but my mum haggled him down to 50,000rupees!!! I was very happy with the results and managed to get quiet a few outfits made from there.
I am planning on doing the same, as last time I took a week off work and got it all done within a week, mum stayed longer to keep checking with them to ensure they were on track.
Key is to plan, be well prepared and have pictures to show.
