Dude, no one cares about chicken abuse or the rotten beef or the artificial aromas or what's on their fries which makes them out-last you. LOL Because, nothing like freshly fried french fries when you're out and about starving.
Would you like to start a campaign against potato abuse?
At KFC we listen to our customers to help us to evolve our menu and the choices we offer. For some time, we have received requests to provide halal food in parts of the UK and as a result of this, we are running a halal trial within communities where we anticipate a strong demand for halal products. KFC Restaurants United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland - Our Halal Trial
We launched the trial in the following stores:
so when you shoot an animal or use a spear or cross bow or bow and arrow and it hits the animal, do you think there is no pain, and does that mean that the animal is not allowed by shariah.
the possibility of death by stunning is there, but it depends on which stunning method is used..so read away
you note HFA requirements, and from what I know HFA has no issue with stunning before zabeeha.
I was going to start this thread myself. I was going to a KFC but most people I know consider it Haram, even though it says it is Halal.
TOO MANY of us are willign to accept something is Halal just because it says it is and it might be approved by an organisation. As KFC, Subway, Nandos are big organisations they will buy their meat products from elsewhere and not locally. If a local take away or restaurant says it is halal i will be more inclined to believe it because they are more likely to buy their meat from local suppliers and you would not need to know from a certificate if they are halal as you know then what the direction it takes is.
When something is declared halal too many of of us just accept it in a very sheep like way and just munch on it (me included). There are a number of issues/questions I want to raise:-
where is the meat for the Halal KFC/Nando’s/subway/Mcdonalds comintg from?
The Halal Food Authority (HFA) says they are Halal after monitoring the process? Who are the HFA and who made them the speakers on behalf of us?
Why is there still a doubt maybe? Thats because the HMC About HMC | Overview has a different procedure.
The HFA allows stunning whilst the HMC does not. The HFA appears to allow mechanical slaughter whilst the HMC does not.
What do different sects say about the issue of slaughter? Are there different points of view?
Halaal or not, we should support our Muslim bussineses instead.
What is so good about McD or KFC?? They are bland like cardboard.
There are so many good Muslim (Paki, Gujarati, Bengali)-owned fast food outlets anywhere where there is a decent population of Muslims.
That's the problem with us we're so jealous of each other that we can't see anyone else from our community prosper.
We've not achieved anything by getting KFC to provide Halal products, we've lost out...
...the market which rightfully belongs to our apne brothers will go to KFC, we loose out as a community..
Also: Did you know that most Halaal meat is imported from Non-Muslim countries... Such a big market and Muslim countries have such a small share in it... I think most Halaal meat is imported to the West from Brazil.
Funny thing is all these Halal signs everywhere infuriate most ignorant white yobs who have the paranoid "Mozlems are taking over" mentality, they are too stupid to realise that the companies who sell Halal products are not doing it to yield to the demands of Muslims but to fill a niche in the market for their own profit and benefit.
Also I think this will further mess up our relationship with our Sikh bros who can't eat Halal/Kosher and right now we ethnic minorities need to stick together.
Dunno why people are so desperate to eat this junk but a few comments.
Stop getting yer knickers in a twist over the halalness of the KFC or McD in the UK compared to middle east/pakistan because most likely the meat comes from the same source (China is a big exporter of chicken for fast food these days) and is shipped all over the world. The meat does not come locally.
In addtion to this, it's just as difficult of comfirm the true halalness of the meat you buy from your halal butcher in the UK.
As for the Pork fat thing, don't believe stuff from the internet unless there is a valid source.
So just chillax and perhaps stop eating so much meat if you are really that concerned.
X2 - Is giving an animal unnecessary pain b4 slaughtering it allowed is Islam? I don’t know but I’m sure it wouldn’t be
thejoke - Thank u, I got confused with HFA and HMC. KFC does meet HFA requirements but not HMC requirements. HFA allows the chickens to be electrocuted and then machine slaughtered. So I wonder who exactly reads the dua?
now it makes sense, this is where all the confusion is. in the Quran it states no blow to the head is allowed but many argue electracuting a chicken with a brain sized of a coin is the same.
To those saying we should support Muslim businesses and what is all the fuss about McD's n KFC etc, that would be relevant if you were in a place where Muslim food businesses existed.
isnt KFC owned by jewish ppl? if so then regardless of it being halal, dnt ppl think wat our fellow muslims are going through in Palestine? just a thought
back to topic- theres a halal Mc D’s in bradford too, n yeh if u look at back of that paper in their trays it says their frie r sutaible for vegetarians
To those saying we should support Muslim businesses and what is all the fuss about McD's n KFC etc, that would be relevant if you were in a place where Muslim food businesses existed.
Jaani McD and KFC would only offer Halaal products in areas where there is a market for them, areas with big Muslim populations...
Usually in areas with big Muslim populations there's plenty of Paki, Gujji and Bangla brothers who run their own resteraunts and takeaways so Insha Allah we should support them.
we can then debate hunting procedure as being unnecessary pain.
where are the videos of the zabeeha centers where animals are not stunned..especially the larger animals, them fighting, legs being tied and them falling to teh side and all, we can post those and do no no as well.
the stunning in waterbath is very diff than a stun bolt to the head,
as far as HFA and who reads the duaa they have all information on their site, you can read it.
HFA has been around since early 90s and has government accreditations and participant in global halal discussions
HMC started in 2003, although they used to claim that since one of the founders had a a halal meat shop in the 70s they started back then looked like someone sorted them out.
anyhoo, for me its all allowed even if not HFA certified, so no issues, you guys follow what feels right to you.
I agree with Nosherwan, local Muslim fast foods are the best especially if you are concerned about authentic halaal food. Its a shame that some Muslims prefer to eat out at McDonalds and KFC etc without a care for whether its halaal or not even though there are many halaal alternatives, just as good if not better.
