UK - Mcdonalds/ KFC halal or not?

@diwana

I am being lazy and have not read the complete thread.

Just read few posts above and want to share that if the halal animal or bird is killed by hunting by rifle or something sharp to bleed the animal or bird to death (before one can reach the animal to properly slaughter) then still the meat of that animal or bird is halal. One has to call the name of Allah when fires the shot or throws the arrow or whatever sharp weapon.

thats partially true, and that focus has to be on the ‘bleed to death’ portion. there are issues with this when hunting birds or hunting an animal that falls and you can not be certain that the death is by impact of the fall, or if it falls in water..and you cant be certain that the animal died of drowning. then regardless of whether you said something before you shot the arrow or the bullet, it does not matter its not halal.
