I am going to vote for Gordon Brown and Labour Party (have always done so; democrats in the US)
Brown oversaw the financial crisis and I think he has done a reasonable job during a difficult time.
I just cannot stand the Tories (The **Conservative **Party). The name itself is enough for me not to vote for them
too narrow-minded
too opportunistic
too traditionalist
too euro-sceptic
too immigration-phobic - While I appreciate that Britain is a small country and they can only absorb so many extra people, Tories like to play the immigration/race card in every general election. The reason for British concern has clearly been the large influx recently of West Indian negroes. The number reached over 50, 000 in 2008. India and Pakistan are not too adversely affected. They have had informal quota arrangements for more than 5 years. These terms can be quickly reinstated. True there is a need to restrict the free flow of immigrants but not everyone is running an off-licence, cabdriving, waitering etc. or on benefits. Quite a significant number of immigrants are skilled and educated - doctors (just look at the NHS), lawyers, businessmen etc. - and contributing to the economy
Re: UK General Election (06 May, 2010): Which party will you vote for?
it is supposed to remain private unless we want to divulge it.
I missed the boat on this one, had to sort out overseas voter reg and it tales some time. the registration needed to be in by the 20th, so no can do now.
Re: UK General Election (06 May, 2010): Which party will you vote for?
Sa-Nafooz, it doesn't have to be private..... heck you can announce it from the roof-tops if you want. :)
Clegg is telling people (mainly brainwashing students) what they want to hear. In reality, the change that he is proposing will not happen. Though Vince Cable is the only person qualified and experienced, out of all the parties, to sort the FUBAR mess that is our economy.
Re: UK General Election (06 May, 2010): Which party will you vote for?
I will be voting Lib Dems, the only party which talks sense. Always voted Labour till 2005. Labour under the latter part of Blair and the clown Brown has lost all credibility and the last straw for me came when Blair recently said that despite what has happened in Iraq, killings of hundreds of thousands of innocent people he would do it all over again if he had to. Shame on such people.
My constituency of Edgbaston is a marginal seat held by Labour and I will be following it closely to see what is happening in the seat and might resort to tactical voting i.e. Conservatives if I feel the race is tight in our constituency. I hate to vote conservatives but than anything is better than Labour at the moment.

Aren't they all. Cameron is all talk and no substance. Such a hollow guy.

here is the info.. http://www.aboutmyvote.co.uk/default.aspx
there is no way I can get the form to them by tomorrow
please take a read and see if there is another way

Re: UK General Election (06 May, 2010): Which party will you vote for?
I agree with ehsan anything is better than the Labour Gov at the moment. Labour need to be shut out - they have had 13 years in power.
That said their main rival's the Conservatives should actuallty win by some sort of a Landslide after all those Labour failures. However, it would take a miracle for them to jump ahead comfortably.
If there is goin to be a coalition how can we be sure that Lib Dems wont embrace the Conservativs though?
