People earning minimum wage work 60 plus hrs per week. And don’t have energy to cook even if they have access to a good quality grocery store.

As the doc said junk food (and cigarettes and alcohol) are advertised with high intensity in poor neighborhoods education plays a factor too.

The “don’t have energy to cook” is a terrible excuse. It’s about balance and discipline in life. I don’t have the time to cook but hardly eat fast food because it takes less than 10 minutes to fix something healthy.
