My hair is likely totally dead and limp. I’ve been trying to grow it since December and it has grown like two inches. My stepmom’s telling me to put oil on it. Gross. I don’t think so!
It was pretty healthy before, don’t know the reason why mar gaya hai hun. I don’t even dye it every month or something. Aside from putting anday, mayo, makhan, and other smelly food on it, what should I do?

That is correct. Increase your iron and Protien intake.
Good sources of iron are meat, also you may want to try over the counter iron supplements along with vitamin C (helps in better absorption)
Protiens : meats, egg, milk, peas, pulses etc (use combination of both veg and animal protien in diet for best results)

Well i usually get a 1 on the sides (which is kinda nearly bald)
and i'm not blowing my own trumpet here, but people do tell me it looks pretty darn fine ;)
Use a good shampoo and conditioner; I use the ones by thermasilk. Also on top of the wash out conditioner, use a leave in one as well. Try the herbal essences leave in conditioner, I like it.
I'm not big on oiling my hair, but warm up some almond oil in a bowl and massage it into your scalp, I've seen it do wonders.
Sarah, first of all dying hairs does play a major role in drying out your hairs..so if you don't mind..do cut on the coloring a bit..or probably use a less harsh one..maybe, lets say if you are using type 3..try using the ones without amonia or peroxide..
Also, do you you use hair dryers? maybe you wanna cut down on that as well.
Secondly, how often do you trim your hairs? you should trim the ends often..
VO5 products are really good..so try using those..
