Ugh!

Tussi log vi :p

Sameen, yeah I do blowdry, straighten, use chemicals on it. But then many other people I know do too and their hair actually grows (amazing!) while mine stays the same length, dries up and becomes really brittle.

Anyway, I'm going to try the hot oil thing. Except I'll probably end up using half a bottle of shampoo to get the oil out, which will reverse any good effects the oil had. But boohoo, such is life.

Ums, when you'll be old and bald we'll see how much you care about your hair :p

I saw this goth girl once in university who had shaved her head but left tufts above her ears. Umm. What was she thinking?

:) maybe she wanted ppl. to know she was not bald naturally but by choice......

Sarah, people might do the same things as you..but then everyone's hairs are different..i did read a lot on this topic thoroughly after reading this thread here..and besides what i mentioned..i also read on a site that instead of using normal hairdyes..one should use henna walay hairdyes..and yup i have seen few of them in shopper drug mart and pharma plus.

Another thing is: what kind of shampoo do you use..do you use a specific shampoo for your hair type..like lets say dry and damage or for color treated one? sometimes beauty supply stores do have really good products as compared to the local market..maybe, you might wanna check one of those supply stores :)

Those VO5 products are not like real oils..they smell good..i once used a hot oil treatment..and once i used the pouch of conditioner for dry damaged hair..and my hair got so silky at that time kay i had hard time managing my hair..so i know they got good products..

Lastly, i found a tip for you..i am not sure if you wanna try..Mash a ripe banana and mix with a few drops of almond oil. Massage into hair and then leave on for about 15 minutes. Rinse with soda water and shampoo and condition as usual.

:)
