U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

Montana.

If Dems get it they win Senate 51-49 (2 Dems are Ind)

Virginia will go to recount likely but Dems have it won.

It's on Montana

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

its still pretty close for montana

and yeah i did hear abt the virginia recount :smack:

hopefully it’ll work out in our favor anyways

apparently Bush is “disappointed” and hopes that the dems will side with him…ok right GW

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

btw even tho when the time comes the independents say they will side democrat, how can they be officially counted in the dem total if they ran as independents?

sorry i don’t know too much about politcs

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

Montana results not coming in until 8am due to a recount in Yellowstone.

Keep an eye on this one, things might get ugly.

Ind's aren't dems but these guys vote with dems so they are considered dems as far as senate control goes.

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

Recounting shudn't make a difference cuz its all for show, and is worthless unless ur a powerful person. See HBO documentary in Video Section.

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

bush will have a news conference tomorrow, cant wait to see the expression on his face :rotfl:

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

^They picking out the curtains already.

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

Dems 47, Rep 49, Indys 2. 2 more seats in play and they will go to Reps (god willing). We need a Rep majority Senate to counter the crazy palosi house.

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

Governator Of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger will be back for another 4 years. He won in a landslide.

At his victory party in 90210, he said "You know I love doing sequels."

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

luxury, r u pakistani?

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

Dems take Montana thus the Senate.

Recounts probably coming but the math just isn't there for Repubs. Where is LuxuryItem, time, to eat some crow :D

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

dems are leading by only 1600 votes in montana and absentee ballots have nt been counted yet...not there yet the dems..virginia is in the bag though with 8000 vote lead.

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

I was up till 2 in the morning  and they still didn’t call the MT race.

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

Terminator 2 was really good

so was Conan 2

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

Dems taking control of both the House and Senate.

What happen rav?

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

So they're talking about a possible Rabbi Joey's appointment to the cabinet, opening up one more senate seat for Republican appoinment. would be a nice political move.. and Cheney will be the deciding vote..

Seanate stays with Republicans..

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

Masses supported the 2003 invasion of eye-rack and look where we are. Then masses voted Bush in 2004 and look where we are. Now, they have voted Dems in control of both the House and the Senate and I wonder if it's the right thing to do.

I'd celebrate when Dems:

  • revoke the Military War Powers Act wihch eliminated Habeus Corups.
  • do away with the President's power to decide what's accetpable torture.
  • Undo Patriot Act.
  • support a Marshall Plan for Pakistan (:D)

With a leader like crazy palosi at the Dem helm, chances of all that happening are pretty slim. Now, if Clinton (Bill) not hillary was calling the shots, I'd say yes we'd get somewhere.

See, people underestimate Bush as a politician. Bush may be arrogant, and narrow-minded but he is a good politician. He'll play palosi like Clinton played Gingrich although Clinton and Gingrich are far smarter than Bush and Palosi.

Having said that, when Gingrich led the Repub victory to the congress he was touting a 'Contract with America'. I recently heard Gingrich talk about a revamped concept of 'spreading the democracy' to the third world. He is a smart guy. What did we hear from Palosi when she was the minority leader? A 'contract with America'? Nooooooo. Nothing. Zip.

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

9 hours later Dems declared winners in Virgina and have control of the Senate, that took forever.
