U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

Sounds like the same type of machine I voted on, except that there was a 'back' button on every screen so you could go back and change your prior vote at anytime or at the end when the review screen came up. I'm happy with the machines as well as the paper trail behind.

Presidential (heavy) turnout in Virginia where Dems are in a tight race for Senate, this is good news for them.

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

All that I'm getting from all this republican support is that its okay to keep doing what we're doing in the U.S. and, in fact, to do it even more. But then people complain about our foreign policy and criticize our country's decisions constantly under the current system. This seems odd... to not be okay with it in the least but not want to try anything different in the hopes that things will at least go in a bit of a different direction. I guess nobody should complain about the war or anything anymore, because if anything republican supporters should be well pleased about it.

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

My experience was about the same as Talha's. Very fast, new machine, very helpful people, 10 minutes. 'Course I sort of closed my eyes and rubbed my hands all over the touch screen real fast and voted for whomever randomly came up.

Kidding.

Re: U.S. Elections: November 7th, 2006

Turnout in CT is large...not sure what this means since lieberman had a large lead but a lamont surge? who knows.

KY turnout large

And the biggest issue on the table via exit polls: Corruption in Washington.
Local issues are takign second seat to national issues...

looking good for Dems.
