It's not as simplistic as 'planting a tree'. It's reforestation, avoiding deforestation, monoculture tree farming, renewable evergy, enery conservation and emmissions trading.
Of couse 'a tree' isn't going to amount to doodley squat. To reduce it to that is intellectually dishonest or you just plain don't know.
BTW, did you know that Syria has over 60 million olive trees? That makes it the 4th largest producer of olives in Europe behind Italy, Spain and Greece.
I really dont see anyone from GOP running that would consider voting for. I used to respect mccain at one point in time but he seems to be selling out ideals for power.
the interesting news are about gore, bloomberg etc.
if elections were held today, I would vote for Gore.
^ I knew there was something wrong with you and now you have provided the evidence. :)
Seminole, all the things you listed are good. Tell me which one of these things is Mr. Stiff doing? It is all political mumbo jumboo... its like saying I only kill people because they are criminals...however, I do not condone killing of human beings. That is what Mr. Fake is doing.
Kaleem, do tell me who on the GOP side I should be voting for, with the motley crew they have rolled out, I dont think any of thm is presidential. They cant display a bunch of monkeys and ask me to pick one just because I like GOP policies better.
PS: Only thing wrong with me is that I waste my time on people like yourself :)
He's doing a lot in his personal life Kaleem. Google it.
But even more important, is what he is getting others to do. Compare it to a prophet. Thousands of years ago a prohpet may have set an example. Well, what is he doing personally today to lead as example? He obviously can't because he's dead. But the point is, he led millions or maybe billions to live the right life. That is what Gore is doing. Leadership. Changing the way people live for the good of humanity.
One man's actions multipled throughout humanity is much more effective than a lone man living in the mountains living off candlelight who leads no one to do anything.

Did i hit a nerve? pir ji, the part has only begun. We have not even witnessed the debates to form an opinion. Right now each one of them is jockeying for position. Give them time, next president will emerge. No, it aint going to be Hairy Rodham or StiffAl Gore.
I was reading one statistic after the Republican debate that says 70% of registered republicans are still pro-Iraq war. While 20% of general population currently supports Iraq war. This puts Republican Presidential candidates in an extremely awkward tap-dance situation. They have to appeal to the right-wing base to get the ticket and then move to the center on Iraq war in the general election. Compared to that, most Democrats have a consistent argument to make on this important issue.
I am not sure how the L&O star will do with ratings. So he is a wild card. Unless Romney does a major misstep, he is in a good spot. Rich, conservative and Governor (which is much better than being a Senator). Being a Mormon can be over come (Romney), but being pro-gay rights and pro-gun control is tough (Guiliani). Equally tough is the lable of "unpredictable" (McCain). Guiliani and McCain have a very hard road to go on with the baggage they bring with them.
On Democrat side, I don't see Gore running at all. I just don't see it. Top favorite right now is Hillary. It will be very hard to beat Hillary in the primaries. But then I just don't see Hillary actually winning the presidential election. She is too polarizing. She will literally be swept. The only way she will lose the primaries is if her opponents drill in to the Democrat voters that Hillary is simply unelectable.

nope, but nice try,
but you did fail to answer my question.
right now who should someone who likes the economic and social policies of GOP rally behind. The barrel of monkeys that were rolled out at the last debate?
so with no leader emerging from th GOP motley crew a gore/obama ticket (fictional at this time) would be the winning ticket.
Get some good pictures of forests to show to your grand kinds. At the current rate of deforestation there won’t be any left for them to see. They might have to go to museum to see a forest
I dont want to tocuh... I said hit a nerve. Dont worry I got it.
There is plenty of time to learn and edumactae ourselves about the candidates...give it time.
dekho... u can put a line of monkeys in front of me, and I may have years to edumacate myself about them, but it does not make bobo the chimp any more presidential.

Neither does it make Stiffy the puppet any more appealing. He will never live down his Internet invention and lock box comments.
UTD, you are so hilarious. You should do stand up comedy (NOT).
