U.S. Elections 2008

Re: U.S. Elections 2008

sad, even though he is another degenerate slave to corporate interests, he might be able to do something better for America.

Re: U.S. Elections 2008

Seminole, just because you hold Mr. Irrelevant and will do anything to get back into limelight Gore in high regard, does not make him a genius. This is the same hypocrite who flew in a private jet to the premier of his crappy movee about environment and uses more electricity in one month than 28 households in US in a month. Please try your lame tactics on some sheeple who follow this stiff around. He is a fake stiff, he was exposed as such in 2000 and always will be.

Re: U.S. Elections 2008

Compared to others in politics, he is a genious. Sorry, but if he gets the country to lower their energy usage by .000001% by flying around and getting out the message of global warming, he could have 10,000 such houses and fly his jet nonstop and still come out on top.

And my belief is that he will run. Look for an official announcement in September.

Re: U.S. Elections 2008

^ May he be on top of you and may be stiff lovers will like it. I am glad that you admit that he is a hypocrite. This is just one example, he is a complete jerk. The point is that if he is so concerned about the environment, then he should change his lifestyle first. He is low intelligence politician and will always remain irrelevant in the history of US...unless of course if history is revised and Al Gore is credited with invention/discovery of Internet :)

Re: U.S. Elections 2008

^ unfortunately, a hypocritical politician like Gore WILL be in the books of history and an honest, worthy politician like Ron Paul, won't.

Re: U.S. Elections 2008

Kaleem, your biasness makes you sound ignorant. You totally ignore the point that by his actions as an advocate he can reduce emissions exponentially more than what he uses. This smear campaign reeks as do most concocted by the far right exremists. I suppose you think he should live in a 2 bedroom shack and only eat vegetables he grows in his own back yard.

He lives in a 70-year-old mansion that doubles as an office. Has added solar panels, energy-efficient windows, uses compact fluorescent light bulbs and other energy-saving technology, drives hybrids and participates in two programs that reduce carbon emissions and make his home carbon neutral. What do you do to help reduce emmissions? So far the only thing I know you do is to contribute to the problem by blowing hot air.

Re: U.S. Elections 2008

Kaleem is a hardened Republican [didn’t he run Pakistanis for bush? in texas?] so I wouldn’t much from him! :hehe:

The problem with Gore is that had he shown his intelligence, if whatsoever, back when it was needed he might’ve won. Some say it was because of lieberman that people only want white christian presidents [esp in the South] which I believe could eventually doom obama in favor of hillary. We here, of course, get more than the usual coverage of obama being his state.

Re: U.S. Elections 2008

Shriek11, you must be an incarnation of an old nick…in any case, If Gore is your measure of intelligence, may Allah help you. Also note that I did not bring up Bush or other republican candidates in this thread. I am only talking about Al Gore. So will you try some other lame line … wait I will lift my foot from your tale so you will stop shrieking.

Re: U.S. Elections 2008

I just remember seeing your name? [if that is your true name] somewhere. Your viewpoints prove I'm right.

Re: U.S. Elections 2008

Let me say that again. He uses more electricity than 28 households in US use in a year. I dont care what he has done to his palatial abode, he is contributing to the crisis and in a grand fashion. Using private jets to fly around the country and than renting a hybrid to arrive at a meeting are not the actions of a leader but a hypocrite. I am not asking him to live in a shack, its time to put your money where your mouth is. Lead with example, your stiffy. Enough of do as I say not as I do .... (while i enjoy all the amenities and continue to burn fossil fuel in massive amounts).

Re: U.S. Elections 2008

I do not call myself republican, nor did I run any organization for republicans. There are others on this board who have donated and organized fund raisers for them though. You have a lot to learn ....

Re: U.S. Elections 2008

Kaleem, the vast majority of emissions come from autos and industry, not househoulds. Gore is a well deserved rich man and as such will use more electricity than the average man. But he stlll has a carbon neutral home and has invested a lot of money to do so. As far as a private jet, he has presented his seminar over 1,000 times and he can't do that by bicylce. And security concerns (with whacko hate mongers like you around) make flying commerical infeasible.

He is NOT contributing to the problem. Those with his same carbon footprint that do nothing to stop global warming are contributing. He is the leading reason this business-owned government is finally going to do something about it.

Re: U.S. Elections 2008

Seminole is right, Gore buys carbon offsets, therefore he is not a hypocrite as he has no carbon footprint even though he does use energy. He is simply lucky to be wealthy enough to afford to do that.

I like Gore. He's got the experience of Hillary and the grassroots support of Obama, if he ran he could get the party nomination. Will he run? That's another story. For the party nomination voting run, I'm all for Obama- I like how he's willing to compromise and talk to people on all sides. I know he doesn't have all that much national experience in politics, but sometimes what you need isn't a hardened politician but a fresh face with new ideas. And, really, how could anyone be worse then Bush?

Re: U.S. Elections 2008

^ Carbon footprint is an invention of the pretentious yuppies that allows them to continue to spew pollutants in the air and then turn around and say that I bought carbon offsets so I am ok. Carbon offsets... yeah right. Trees for example take years to mature and offset the carbon that stiff spills in the air with his jet fuel. He is still doing the harm to the environment and as a typical liberal talking from both sides of his mouth. This just a ploy to make these fakes feel better, nothing more and nothing less. Just fake and hypocrite.

Re: U.S. Elections 2008

God bless Al Gore for doing something about global warming. I think Bush has now evern uttered those words. It takes a long time to educate the ignorant as evidenced by people who can't understand the importance of terms such as carbon footprint and carbon offsets. Very important terms with very important consequences that can't be swept under the rug by insulting a whole school of thought.

If he does become president insha'allah, he will hopefully educate more of these biased 'non-thinkers' and maybe even encourage the study of geography. After all, it's hard to make intelligent converstation when you don't even know in which continent the polluting countries are located.

God bless the liberals, which he obviously already did since the Prince of Peace and the greatest man that ever lived was a society-changing, rabble-rousing liberal.

Re: U.S. Elections 2008

Seminole, do you even know where these terms originated from? I will let you google it and come back .

As always you could not refute the facts and went on a tangent about Bush and other bla blah. Tell me padre, how many years does it take for a tree to help with carbon offset of **one **private jet flight from say NY to TN? After you find the answer, you will be ashamed and I know will not post this answer here. :)

Re: U.S. Elections 2008

Dude, I have studied global warming and its effects extensively. Geography as well. It is obvoius you haven't. I peronally have planted more trees than you probably have in the whole ugly city of Houston. So I am ashamed of nothing. Gore is ashamed of nothing. Those who are contributing to lowering global emissions should be proud. Where do you stand?

Re: U.S. Elections 2008

Again, come back with numbers I asked for. Those trees you planted will take care of the emissions that stiff has spewed inn about 150 years. Do you think that is crabon offsetting..... its a sham for pretentious fakes and jerks.

Re: U.S. Elections 2008

Ok, you are right. It think we should cut down the remaining 50% of the rainforests and stop planting any trees. More asphalt and smokestacks, everybody! Everything else if fake and people who plant trees are jerks. The wise has spoken.

Re: U.S. Elections 2008

Seminole, again you are not getting the point. There is nothing wrong with planting the trees. It is all good, it does help the environment, but it does not do anything for carbon footprint or carbon offset...it is a sham to make people feel good.
