guys i heard 2 tang wala garara also has types..like flaper type is inn now a days,any idea or pics..its 2 tang wala but has flaper look…any pic..if

what is wrong with people! a sharara is the same thing as a lehnga. it’s a skirt. it has types, but it is a skirt.
a gharara is a 2 legged thingy. the real thing, the real gharara has certain featurs to it to qualify it is a gharara. then there are the pseudo-ghararas, but the uniting factor is the 2 legged-ness.

From what i know, a sharara is is like a lehnga but with more flare. A lehnga is more like an A-line skirt where as a sharara is also like a skirt, but with more fabric. I also recall something about how if u sit on the floor in a sharara, you will be able to spread the fabric around u all the way out, in a perfect circle, as opposed to lehnga, which doesnt have as much flare. I could be wrong though. And a gharara is always two-legged.

a sharara is a just like shorts attatched with a skirt to each side :P it is fitted to knees/thighs whereas a gharara has 8 'kaliyaan' at the upper part and a big'ghair' for both the uprer part and the lower skirt

Ghararas are two legged.
Shararas are One legged.
Its that simple.
Ghararas are of different kinds.
There is the farshi gharara
Then the normal gharara
and the weird kinda ghararas where the flare is a bit lower than the normal which were seen in Umrao Jaan.
Shararas are only one kind, more like a skirt with with lots and lots of gher.
Lenghas dont have Ghers, they are just skirts.

sharara is used to describe both a less gher wala gharara and what u guys are talking about. alot of people call those bell bottom type thingies sharara. google an image of sharara and u’ll come up with both. regardless it doesnt matter. hayatkhan asked for less flared gharara and the website calls it a sharara :shrugs: could be called gharana or falana for all i care.
