TWO very confusing questions that I need answers to: ..........

1 - If you jump out an airplane and your falling down with something heavier than you per say a heavy suitcase, can you stand on top of it and jump off the suitcase as soon as you are about to hit land? Using momentum off of the suitcase going up while the suitcase is going down and surviving the airplane crash?

i’m just tryin to figure out a way to survive one if incase I’m ever involved in one

2 - If you go sky diving and your falling down 100’s of mph would you be able to hold a cup of glass while falling with water inside it? Will the water remain in the cup or will it go up as you’re falling down?

:konfused:

answer smart ones…

yes get back to playing games in arcade! it's fun :)

Re: TWO very confusing questions that I need answers to: ..........

  1. No, because gravity is still pulling your weight down. And you will crash cuz of inertia.

  2. Water will flow up.

Re: TWO very confusing questions that I need answers to: …

^^^same answer as crescent

it seems plausible enuf n sorta intelligent:blush:

Re: TWO very confusing questions that I need answers to: …

why would waterflow up when we are going down and the gravitational pull is in the same direction ?

2 forces together.

Re: TWO very confusing questions that I need answers to: …

:hehe: i’ll just go with the flow and agree with Cresi, he seems intelligent

Re: TWO very confusing questions that I need answers to: …

  1. No, you won’t get enough momentum. A surprising number of people survive high-altitude free-falls, so your best best is to pray a couple of nafl namaazes on the way down in the hope that God saves you. Several bomber crewmen fell tens of thousands of feet without a parachute and survived.

Lt. I.M. Chisov was a Russian airman whose Ilyushin IL-4 bomber was attacked by German fighters in January of 1942. Falling nearly 22,000 feet, he hit the edge of a snow-covered ravine and rolled to the bottom. He was badly hurt but survived.

Alan Magee, a gunner on a B-17 with the 303rd Bomb Group of the U.S. 8th Air Force, was on a mission to St. Nazaire, France in January of 1943, when his bomber was set aflame by enemy fire. He was thrown from the plane before he had a chance to put on his parachute. **He fell 20,000 feet and crashed through the skylight of the St. Nazaire train station. His arm was badly injured, but he recovered from that and other injuries. **

In March of 1944, Nicholas Alkemade was the tail gunner in a British Lancaster bomber on a night mission to Berlin when his plane was attacked by German fighters. When the captain ordered the crew to bail out, Alkemade looked back into the plane and discovered that his parachute was in flames. He chose to jump without a parachute rather than to stay in the burning plane. **He fell 18,000 feet, landing in trees, underbrush, and drifted snow. He twisted his knee and had some cuts, but was otherwise alright. **

Re: TWO very confusing questions that I need answers to: …

If you are wearing a shirt or a jacket, take it off as you are falling down.
Hold both the sleeves with one hand and the bottom part of the shirt with the other. This way you will have a PARACHUTE, and will land safely.

Other option is to turn upside down, as soon as you fall (throw the glass of water away - you can get plenty to drink once you get on ground). Once your face is towards the earth and the feet pointing to the sky, start blowing with your mouth. The force of air going out from your lungs and mouth will act as a brake against the gravity. Depending on how hard or slow you blow, you can also control your speed.

Re: TWO very confusing questions that I need answers to: …

This reminds me of a joke, it goes like this

There were four men in a plane from 4 diff nationalities,

One was American, second one was Indian third paki and the fourth was Chinese
Anyway after an hr of flight, the pilot comes rushing towards the passengers and tells them that the plane is about to crash and that there is only one parachute, which he takes and jumps off the plane.

Now these passengers get really stressed out and have no clue wht to do, so the American dude takes off his shirt and use it like a parachute, the Chineese dude does the same thing with his shorts. This leaves us with paki and Indian. The Paki Uncle uses his dhoti and the Indian uncle had no clue wht to do with his shalwar so end up jumping just like that. Anyway the Indian uncle end up following toward the ground. When the paki guy sees this, tells the Indian guy “hey race lagata hai,” and ends up leaving his dhoti.

Ok now this is suppose to sound funny, it actually does in Punjabi :frowning:
