jesus was the son of god, not god but his beta who he sent to this earth. how can a mod of religion forum not know even this basic belief? :\
Peace queer
The Trinitarians view Jesus as God the Son (auzdubillah*) ... not the Son of God - or that would become 2 separate gods * ... God and His son*
...
They say he was 100% man and 100% God ... when he died on the cross the man died ... since God cannot die - they say God suffered by taking the form of man * ... to be crucified for the sins of mankind.
dude, you are talking about something else. the bible is full of verses where jesus is referred to as "the son of god".
does that mean jesus is god? this is when the trinitarians say yes, he was god the son. unitarians say no. but both have no issues with any of the verses that address jesus as "the son of god" throughout the bible.
According to Wikipedia: *"The Christian doctrine of the Trinity defines God as three divine persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. The three persons are distinct yet coexist in unity, and are co-equal, co-eternal and consubstantial. Put another way, the three persons of the Trinity are of one being.
According to this doctrine, there is only one God in three persons. Each person is God, whole and entire."*
So, as Queer said, Jesus was the Son of God... and in the Christian faith, through the trinity, is considered to be part of God.
Yea yea I know wiki isn't the best source, but it was worded well! Lol

Both you and I know what the Bible says ... The OP's question was aimed at Christians - the Trinitarian variety ... It is irrespective what the Bible says in this matter. I see the term "son of God" as being an acceptable rendition for "slave of God" - but many Christians will disagree with me ...
One of my Catholic friends I asked, what was the difference between Catholic/Christian belief and Greek Mythology of God Zues Having a Son Appollo with a Human Mother, and then adding to that the practices of old Pagan Religions where Virgins were Sacrificed for the sins of the communities to appease their Gods to make the Rivers flow and the crops grow! He had no answer!
Christianity is mainly founded by Paul who being a Jew by the name of Saul wanting to marry into the Roman Emperor's household but was denied, so he goes to Damascus and has a vision. then brings back a version of christianity more palatable to the Romans, they already believed in Gods and Sons of Gods!
All other versions of Christian literature were burned in 300 AD!
So trinity became the christian doctrine!
The two questions you asked probably had answers in the Books burned in yr 300 AD.
according to Christianity, God never dies, and Jesus a.s never died ( was raised on the 3rd day, although a more suitable question would be.. who took care of the world in those 3 days.. or what was the need of Him to be raised to heavens ..or why if he was son of God, he had to go through such hardship ).. But since according to them He never died, Hence He was God or son of God or the like of God. Therefore, for them to say that Jesus a.s is looking after mankin/world cannot be refuted/ is a strong argument even for Muslims.
He a.s was worshipping/praying to the Holy Spirit.. the concept of trinity.
The concept of trinity as I have understood is that there are three manifestations of one God i.e., father, son and the holy spirit.
They call Jesus(as) as the only begotten son of God (na-auzbillah). so from their perspective, father and holy spirit were there. Jesus, the son suffered the pain and death in the form of a human and got resurrected on the third day. Jesus(as) was obviously praying to the father.
God doesn't die so Jesus (as) being part of the trinity of Godhead shouldn't die not even temporarily.
It means that god have family. Mary the mother of Jesus gave birth to Jesus the god For some believers she gave birth to god. For god to be god ‘the creator’ and not to come part of the creations.
Christian theology would answer your questions as follows:
1. Although the body of Jesus was in the grave, His Godhead was everywhere. This is what Thomas Aquinas says. His body was in the tomb, his divine nature was still present everywhere.
2. He was praying to God the Father, as you see in the Christian "Lord's Prayer", "Our Father, who is in Heaven...." The Three are truly distinct, and yet truly one.
Obama forgot to mention that the apostle Paulus was a bounty hunter who killed Christians for money. LOL
Jesus the Son died, but God The father and the Holy Ghost were very much alive.
The Christian Trinity is something that not even Christians themselves understand. Jesus is God (Nauzobillah), The Holy Ghost is God and God the father is God. All three are one, but at the same time, Jesus is not the Holy Ghost, and The Holy Ghost is not God the father and so on. They are all one, but also not one...Makes alot of sense.
a god died last year and it was a big news all over the world. but i digress…
jesus was a son of the god. he died means he left this mortal world and the mortal body. he would still be there where his father would be. jesus didnt create the world.
and second, he would be worshiping to The God which happens to be his father. Again, his worship wont be like humans worshiping.
Dieing for god is leaving the mortal world which BTW they can come back if they want to as well.
PS. in non abrahamic faiths even gods worship/invoke other gods.
It is not a metaphorical statement, but it is not physical in the sense of if you have a son. In other words, the generation of the Son from the Father is spiritual and eternal, not physical and happening at one moment in time.
