The context of my post is clear. Today, can you name a jihadi group which is not declared terrorist even by Pakistan? Today, violent jihad is globally considered terrorism. Say Jihadi in the West and the picture most will see is a bearded man cutting the head of an innocent person and taking pleasure at it.

I’m not trying to insult the idea of jihad, but pointing out the fact that the word “jihadi” today is understood by most people as the same as a terrorist. And that includes your own President who has said the same about private jihadi groups.

Well, you should watch how your phrasing it. Most people today call everything a Jihad, but to say Jihad itself is the same as terrorism is being ignorant and quite insensative…
The president should be careful aswell, the two should not be synonamous. A Jihadi by definition cant be a terrorist. Whether America, Pakistan or anyone else thinks so, a Jihadi by definition is not a terrorist.
The Terrorists may call themselves Jihadis but that doesnt make them Jihadis in any way, and we should be careful to distiguish the two.
People are a bit sensative to this, even me..
