Two-Nation Theory v Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Status

Re: Two-Nation Theory v Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Status

Two Nation Theory ===> Hindus and Muslims are politically and culturally different and it is better if they can have separate states where they can be politically independent of each other.

Most Favorite Nation ====> Two countries want to have good economic relations and reduce trade barriers.

I do not see any contradiction between two. If communist China and Capitalistic USA can trade in billions of dollars, why can't India and Pakistan?

Re: Two-Nation Theory v Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Status

so what do you want to discuss?

SO what is your solution to this issue? Should we nuke them? Cant we live as two independent countries and have relations with them as others in the neighbourhood? Even the prophet had treaties signed with non muslims.

Re: Two-Nation Theory v Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Status

Some people by birth are hate mongers. They never let humanity to live with peace. They make strange interpretation of religion and become thekedaars in belittling others. This subcontinent has its uniqueness. The people here were sometimes Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs and Muslims. They adopted the religion of their conquerors ( saying more about it will pull many swords out.) Fight over Religion has always taken more lives than epidemics. Similarly these two nations have been divided artificially. If there are attempts to live peacefully, some people start crying because how will they sell their hate articles to fool simple citizens.

Re: Two-Nation Theory v Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Status

Two nation theory failed miserably in 1971 when majority of Pakistan broke away and formed new state called Bangladesh.

Re: Two-Nation Theory v Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Status

Not really, it wasn't the 'two nation theory' that failed, it was an indication that there can be reasons other than religion to create a new state.

Re: Two-Nation Theory v Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Status

On the contrary its quite the opposite, B-Desh is living proof of it.

Re: Two-Nation Theory v Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Status

Muslims rebelled against Muslims and broke the Muslim nation in two...wheredo non muslims come into the picture.....perhaps its a living proof that so called Muslim Nation from africa to asia cannot exist.

Re: Two-Nation Theory v Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Status

it would have failed if BD had gone back to merge with India. The fact that they didn't proves the two nation theory.

Re: Two-Nation Theory v Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Status

Ummm don't know how 2 nation theory fits into that....

Re: Two-Nation Theory v Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Status

Indian Muslims don't need to depend on theories like two nation theory. Pakistani Muslims are the only Muslims whose survival depends on this theory.
Neither Indians nor Bangladeshis discuss division of Indian subcontinent. It's important for Pakistanis Muslims even after 60 plus years to discuss this.

Re: Two-Nation Theory v Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Status

You are nothing without this theory lol

Re: Two-Nation Theory v Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Status

Thank you..it is about time someone spoke wise words. Hindu and Muslims theoretically are two distinct cultures and religion. So it is better for both to be politically independent. Better this way.

Re: Two-Nation Theory v Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Status

There are more Muslims living in India than Pakistan...

Re: Two-Nation Theory v Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Status

Do nazria ke haami, India ke muslamano ko musalman nahin samjhtay.

Re: Two-Nation Theory v Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Status

He had to drag that into it, being an Indian, tried to use the situation but oh well.

No, its the Mir Jaffars who think that way.

Re: Two-Nation Theory v Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Status

Some wise man here says, Muslims have distinct religion and culture so it's important for them to be politically separate. May be Bengalis Muslims are different from bengali Hindus. What made them so different from Muslims from west? Anyway, millions of Muslims live in secular countries with Christianity in majority and a culture that is totally alien to Muslim; USA, Canada , Europe etc Muslims live here peacefully without any political representation. Isn't this a proof it's implementation of secular laws that allows Muslims to thrive here. We muslims have no idea how to behave when in majority, today we shamelessly call Muslim majority countries as "Muslim lands". Day is not far Muslims will start calling rivers in their countries as Muslim rivers and air as Muslim air.

Re: Two-Nation Theory v Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Status

Economically speaking China is not communist. Only in Political thought. Although, generally I do agree. There is no harm in trading as there can be mutual benefit. Certain sectors should be reserved or off limits. For example. Energy, military industry etc. A country can never rely on another for that or at least in principle shouldn't.

Re: Two-Nation Theory v Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Status

Both countries are confused about their future together, we have to decide whether we want to be friends or enemy:D, the basic premise is unsettled therefore entire relation is in flip flop.

PS:I liked first video though:D
