it's so sad that Sanjaya is not getting out any time soon. It would be horrible if he's in the top 3. One thing is for sure, the judges won't pick any more Indian kids to be in the top 25 anymore.

I felt that the judges were extra cautious this week. They wouldn't give bad comments to "generally" good contestants this week even if they performed horrible. I mean Chris Richardson and Jordin were really bad last night but not a single bad comment from the judges. They are cautious because they don't want to lose good people to Sanjaya.

^ No they weren't. I thought they were pretty good last night. They both sung No Doubt songs, which is risky cause not everybody can pull it off, but they both did a really good job. Chris Sligh was not good ... Blake Lewis was just o.k. He has a nice voice, but I love that song he sang ...
Sanjaya was not so great, as expected. I feel bad cause he's getting so much publicity for all the wrong reasons. Poor kid.

That mo-hawk really did it for me this time. My kids were laughing their arses off the whole time Sanjaya was singing. Singer he may not be, but the dude has some really creative ideas about his hair.

On the endless controversy surrounding Sanjaya Malakar:
I think we’re going to have this thing called the Sanjaya Effect. I feel as though last week I was myself Sanjayaed – purely and simply because he’s got guts this kid – and you have to applaud that. If half the people with more talent than him had his guts, we’d get better talent all around.
Can’t you understand why little girls vote for Sanjaya? I can. So I don’t even know what the controversy is, to be frank. I don’t think there’s any difference than any other year, to be frank with you. I think it was John Stevens, and then it was probably Kevin Covais.
On the supposed power of Vote for the Worst:
It’s a bit like a fly buzzing around a cow. You want to waft it away with your tail. When you’re getting 30 million votes, whatever that Web site can do is just not enough.

What happened to “make sure you vote for your favorite because every vote counts” or their claims that the votes were so close the contestants were only within a few hundered votes of each other? Which statement is a lie?

My wife watches the show, I watched parts of the 2nd and 4th seasons but it became boring very quickly and I didn’t like the way they manipulate the voters.
It’s like a characature of what music is really, like, especially with the poseur rockers like the bald “Live” impersonator from last season and the “Hot Topic” girl from this season. American Idol wants to seem like they are diverse, so they really stretch to get different kinds of singers, but they are basically all the same. At least the boring adult contemporary singers on the show don’t pretend to be anything they aren’t.

They havnt shown it in London yet...it'll b shown on tomorrow....jeez sanjaya got thru again and now indian call centres r voting for him as well. What is going on? This is too much! The boy cant sing plain and simple. He cant keep getting thru on sympathy votes...its gettin ridiculous!
